A British-born father and three American citizens were killed by Palestinian terrorists armed with axes and guns in a Jerusalem synagogue.

Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, described as a 'pillar of the community', was born in Liverpool and held a dual British-Israeli passport.

Mr Goldberg, 68, is a grandfather who lived in Golders Green in London before moving to Israel and was a regular visitor to the synagogue.

Friend David Osborne told Jewish News: 'He was the most wonderful person you could meet, a pillar of the community. I was on my way to the synagogue when I heard screams and shots being fired, I knew instantly it was bad.'

The others killed in the attack have been named as Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Arieh Kopinsky, 43, and rabbi Calman Levine, who were all dual US-Israeli nationals. The two terrorists were shot dead after the attack by police.

The two attackers are cousins Rassan and Uday Abu Jamal, close relatives of a Hamas terrorist who was released in 2011 as part of the exchange deal for the captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit

CAIRO –  The United States is promising $212 million in immediate assistance to the Palestinians as part of an international effort to rebuild the Gaza Strip after this summer's 50-day war.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says people in Gaza "need our help desperately -- not tomorrow, not next week, but they need it now."

He announced the new money at a donor conference for the Palestinians in Cairo.

The Palestinians are seeking $4 billion in international aid.

170 Illegal Workers Arrested in Tel Aviv

The police raided a construction site in the city, along with Riot Police and Border Guard Forces, and captured 170 illegal aliens from the Palestinian territories. The raid was a result of information received about the workers employed in the area illegally. They have been detained and taken in for questioning.

You might be inclined to think I was referring to the mess between Israel and what is commonly called Palestine. NOPE! The Middle East is much bigger than a country whose area is a small 8000 sq. miles. Some of you might not even know what the Middle East looks like. So here you go; a map of the Middle East. Israel is the small sliver like peach colored area between Egypt and Syria (might be a bit difficult to see)

Enough boring facts, let’s get to the chase. The whole world is screaming at Israel for occupying Palestine.  A treacherous story is told. The Zionists came into Palestine and with great cruelty ran the Palestinians out of their prosperous thousand year old State. If this were true I would probably be a pro Palestine supporter myself! How can one possible sit by and watch a nation that was stripped of their land by intruding forces?!  Unfortunately for them and very fortunate for the people of Israel the story of this great land is quite different.

Published:  07.05.14, 08:25 / Israel News A night of violent clashes in the Triangle area overnight Friday reached a peak when protestors in Qalansawe, an Arab town in central Israel, burned tires, attacked Jewish civilians who were trapped in the area with their vehicles and set one vehicle on fire. Following the incidents, security forces closed Route 5614 toward Qalansawe to traffic in both directions. 12 people were detained following the riots. The clashes erupted when masked protestors who were standing on the road began asking passing drivers whether they were Jewish or Arab. Two Jewish drivers who answered in Hebrew were forced out of their vehicles and attacked by the protestors. Taliban fighters have been attacking convoys bringing supplies for NATO-led forces in landlocked Afghanistan for years now, but tankers have recently become their primary target.

The previous attack on fuel tankers took place June 19, when an attack of Taliban suicide bombers on a convoy of fuel trucks at the Pakistan border triggered a firefight between police guards and Islamist insurgents, resulting in 37 fuel trucks being burned.

ISAF troops, the US-led international contingent in Afghanistan, get most of their fuel supplies via the Pakistani port of Karachi.

The ISAF supply route via Pakistan has never been secure, because of the Taliban’s activities there and because the authorities in Islamabad and locals have more than once blocked the route because of thedrone war the US government is waging against the Islamists in the country, and also because of friendly fire incidents involving the US Air Force.

Clashes between Arabs and Israeli police continue into the night

Police pushing back some 200 rioters from the Palestinian village of Sharafat, while in Jerusalem's Old City, dozens were throwing stones and fireworks.

Clashes between Arab protesters and police continued into the night on Saturday, after raging in the Triangle area, East Jerusalem and Wadi Ara all day.

Four firefighting teams were battling a fire near Har Homa that was believed to have been started started from a Molotov cocktail.

In full recording of teen’s emergency calls Muslims heard celebrating

JERUSALEM (JTA) — The full recording of the emergency call placed by one of three abducted teens, in which the kidnappers can be heard celebrating, was released.

Wednesday’s release of the full audio, which is 2 minutes, 9 seconds, comes a day after the first 49 seconds were released.

In the full tape, the kidnappers are heard singing in Arabic and cheering, as well as calling out “three!”

In the earlier recording, the teen who placed the call — believed to be Gilad Shaar — says he has been kidnapped. The kidnappers are heard yelling at the teens prior to sounds believed to be gunfire

Israeli officials called Sunday for Israel to undertake a large operation against the Gaza Strip following a weekend salvo of rockets that destroyed a Sderot paint factory

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, speaking to a slew of media outlets Sunday morning, said the Israeli military should consider re-taking full control of the Gaza Strip.
