I keep checking my colleague Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs website every few minutes, thinking that surely it will be back by now, but now for the better part of yesterday and all of today it has been down due to a massive DDOS attack.

Pamela Geller is one of the foremost voices for freedom in the world today. Every day’s headlines brings new confirmation that what she has been saying has been right all along — and has continued to say, despite an avalanche of ridicule, scorn, and contempt that would have driven a lesser person into silence long ago. And what she is doing is crucial. We have to get the truth out about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, we have to do it in an effective way, and we have to do it quickly. No one rivals Pamela Geller in doing that.

The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit has decided to review a First Amendment complaint brought by Christians who were assaulted by a rock-throwing Muslim mob at an Arab festival in Dearborn, Michigan.

The case arose from the annual Arab International Festival in June 2012 when Wayne County sheriff’s deputies stood by while a Muslim mob threw rocks at Christians, bloodying them.

The officers then threatened the Christians with arrest if they didn’t leave the event.

The Christians brought a lawsuit against Wayne County over its officers’ actions, and a three-judge panel dismissed it.

But a majority of 6th Circuit judges has agreed to re-hear the case.

The case, shepherded by the American Freedom Law Center, isn’t the first time that Muslim mob violence has erupted at the Arab festival. Earlier, a group of Christians was awarded more than $100,000 in damages because of attacks there.

In a recent interview on CBN News, Andrew White, an Anglican priest known as the “Vicar of Baghdad,” tried to recount the horrific atrocities Christians in Iraq are suffering at the hands of the Islamic State.  After explaining how Christian minorities fled Baghdad to Ninevah when Islamic militants began terrorizing them and bombing their churches, White said:

Then one day, ISIS, the Islamic State, the Islamic caliphate came [to Ninevah] and they hounded all of them [Christians] out.   Not some, allof them.  And they killed huge numbers.  They chopped their children in half; they chopped their heads off.

It should be noted that the targeting of Christian children in Iraq goes back years before the creation of ISIS.  For example, in June 2008, a Canadian parliamentary committee heard about how “militant Muslims” were crucifying Christian children: “Since the war began in 2003, about 12 children, many as young as 10, have been kidnapped and killed, then nailed to makeshift crosses near their homes to terrify and torment their parents.”

During his interview, White offered the following, likely surreal to Western sensibilities, anecdote:

ISIS turned up and they said to the [Christian] children, “You say the words [shehada, convert to Islam], that you will follow Muhammad.”  And the children, all under 15, four of them, they said, “No, we love Jesus [Yesua].  We have always loved Jesus.  We have always followed Jesus.  Jesus has always been with us.”  They [ISIS] said, “Say the words!”  They [children] said, “No, we can’t.”  [White starts sobbing] They chopped all their heads off.  How do you respond to that?  You just cry.  They’re my children.   That is what we have been going through.  That is what we are going through.

The Iraqi city of Mosul was once a majority-Christian city, but is now an Islamic State (IS) stronghold, where militants have repurposed deserted church buildings as prisons.

Fides news agency reports that detainees were held at the ancient Chaldean Church of the Immaculate Conception in the eastern part of the city, having been blindfolded and handcuffed.

St George’s monastery has also allegedly been used as a female detention centre.

Reports circulated last week that the nearby convent of the Chaldean Sisters of the Sacred Heart had been bombed by IS militants.

Several other Christian churches, Yazidi shrines and Shiite mosques have also been demolished by the group that has declared a caliphate in large parts of Iraq and Syria.

Just don’t call it that, you racist, bigoted Islamophobe. “Poll shows strong Palestinian support for attacks,” The Associated Press, December 9, 2014:

JERUSALEM (AP) — An overwhelming majority of Palestinians support a recent spate of attacks on Israelis amid heightened tensions over the most sensitive holy site in Jerusalem, according to an opinion poll released Tuesday.

The poll also found that more than half of Palestinians support a new uprising against Israel, and that the Hamas militant group would win presidential elections if they were held today.

Palestinian pollster Khalil Shikaki said the results reflected Palestinian anger over Israeli statements about the Jerusalem holy site, which is revered by Jews and Muslims, as well as a loss of hope following the collapse of U.S.-brokered peace talks and Israel’s recent war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research interviewed 1,270 people in the West Bank and Gaza last week. The poll had an error margin of 3 percentage points.

Denmark paid unemployment benefits to 28 people while they were waging war for the Isis terrorist group in Syria, the Danish intelligence service was quoted as saying on Thursday.

Out of the 28 Danish people identified by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) as having received benefits, 15 had been ordered to pay the money back, eight people were still being investigated, and five cases had been dropped due to insufficient evidence, tabloid BT reported.

"It is incredibly important that we are not naive," Justice Minister Mette Frederiksen told the daily when asked about the data, which was found by merging records kept by different authorities.

In this photo (thanks to Kay), Leftist demonstrators relate the strife in Ferguson to the “Palestinian” jihad. And Pamela Geller has a great deal of information on how Islamic jihadists and supremacists, including the Hamas-linked terror organization CAIR, have tried to co-opt the Ferguson riots as part of their own jihad. Most noteworthy is the active presence in Ferguson of “Palestinian” jihad activist Bassem Masri.

The connection between Ferguson and “Palestine” (and the global jihad in general) is clear: both the Islamic supremacists and the Ferguson rioters think that the American system is corrupt and must be brought down. The Islamic supremacist presence in Ferguson is thus akin to jihad recruitment in prisons: both attempt to capitalize upon resentment toward America and American authority, and channel it into jihad.

The concept of the caliphate is what gives the Islamic State its appeal among young Muslims in the West, but Western authorities cannot acknowledge that, for it would suggest that the Islamic State has something to do with Islam. And so they lurch about in the darkness looking for alternate explanations.

As many as 2,000 Britons are fighting alongside Islamist militants in Syria and Iraq, a senior Muslim MP has claimed.

Officials had suggested that the number of British jihadists within the ranks of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) and other terrorist groups was about 500.

However, Khalid Mahmood, the Labour MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, a constituency with a significant number of Muslims, has suggested this was a fourfold underestimate of the number of British jihadists fighting in the region.

“The authorities say there are 500 British jihadists but the likely figure is at least three to four times that,” he said. “I think 2,000 is a better estimate. My experience in Birmingham is it is a huge, huge problem.”

Why Muslims in American prisons should be segregated from the general prison population

One out of three African-American inmates in U.S. prisons convert to Islam while incarcerated. An estimated 35,000 – 40,000 inmates convert to Islam each year, and that 15% of the total U.S. prison population or 350,000 inmates are Muslim, with many of them radicalized.

Daily Caller  This is more than 18 times the national representation of Muslims in America, reported to be 0.8 percent. Prisons are churning out converts to Islam who are taught they are righteously entitled to control the religion, speech, and dress of family, co-workers and strangers.

Back in 2006, then FBI director Robert Mueller prophetically described the radical Islamist conversion machine operating throughout U.S. prisons, to a Senate committee. He said that prisons were a “fertile ground” for Islamic extremists, and that they targeted inmates for introduction to the militant Wahhabi and Salafist strains of Islam.

The recent so-called “lone wolf” terrorist attacks in Oklahoma City, New York, and just over our northern border in the Canadian capital of Ottawa, may be the product of such radicalization.

Governor asked to review content that 'historically leads to violence against Jews'

A group that combats anti-Semitism is asking the governor of Tennessee to investigate school textbooks not only because of instances of anti-Semitism but also hundreds of inaccuracies, biases and disinformation, including anti-American and anti-Christian content.

The texts are in direct violation of the U.S. and Tennessee Constitutions by “teaching the religious dogmas of one religion,” Islam, charges Laurie Cardoza-Moore, founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations.

Her Tennessee group educates media professionals, Christian leaders and Christians around the globe about the dangers of the “new anti-Semitism.”

She is asking Gov. Bill Haslam to do a “full and thorough” review of the work that was done under Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman, who recently quit.

During Huffman’s tenure, not only was the controversial federal-government program Common Core imposed on schools, but the Tennessee Textbook Commission adopted books that were found to contain more than 700 problematic sections.

Iran nuclear talks stuck, Obama will extend deadline

Obama State Dept slams Israeli construction in E. Jerusalem, renewed home demolitions
