Chinese aircraft carrier docks at Tartus to support #Russian-Iranian military buildup ! @Debka

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report September 26, 2015, 1:17 PM (IDT)
Tags:
As US President Barack Obama welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to the White House on Friday, Sept. 25, and spoke of the friendship between the two countries, the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning-CV-16 docked at the Syrian port of Tartus, accompanied by a guided missile cruiser. This is revealed exclusively byDEBKAfile.

Beijing is not finding it hard to dance at two weddings, wooing the US for better relations, while at the same time backing Russia in its military intervention in Syria. Coupled with the warm smiles and handshakes exchanged at the lavish reception on the White House lawn, Beijing was clearly bent on showing muscle – not just in the South China Sea, but by allying itself with the Russian-Iranian political and military buildup in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad and his regime.
DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the Chinese aircraft carrier passed through the Suez Canal on Sept. 22, one day after the summit in Moscow between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
When they talked, Putin made no mention of the Chinese warship entering the eastern Mediterranean or its destination. Its arrival has upended the entire strategic situation surrounding the Syrian conflict, adding a new global dimension to Moscow and Tehran’s military support for Assad.
This was grasped at length by US Secretary of State John Kerry. On Sept. 25, he sent Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, who also led the US negotiating team for the nuclear talks with Iran, to announce that the Obama administration is ready for dialogue with Iran about the situation in Syria, and this topic would be raised when Kerry’s met Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Jawad Zarif in New York on Sept. 26.
But if the top US diplomat hoped to bypass the Russian initiative in Syria by going straight to Tehran, he was too late. Iran is already moving forward fast to augment its military presence in the war-torn country, buttressed by the ground, air and sea support of two world powers, Russia and China.

This turn of evens has a highly detrimental effect on Israel’s strategic and military position. It also strengthens Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his determination to turn the nuclear deal concluded in July into a tool for isolating the US politically, militarily and economically in the Middle East, rather than a milestone on the road to a breakthrough in ties with Iran, as the Obama administration had hoped.

Our military sources find evidence that the Chinese forces are digging in for a prolonged stay in Syria. The carrier put into Tartus minus its aircraft contingent. The warplanes and helicopters should be in place on its decks by mid-November - flying in directly from China via Iran or transported by giant Russian transports from China through Iranian and Iraqi airspace.
This explains the urgency of establishing a Russian-Syria-Iranian “military coordination cell” in Baghdad in the last couple of days. This mechanism, plus the Russian officers sighted in Baghdad, indicates that the Russian military presence is not limited to Syria but is beginning to spill over into Iraq as well.
The coordination cell - or war room - was presented as necessary to begin working with Iranian-backed Shiite militias fighting the Islamic State in both places. But more immediately, it is urgently needed to control the heavy traffic of Russian, Iranian and Chinese military flights transiting Iraqi air space.

Our sources report that the Chinese will be sending out to Syria a squadron of J-15 Flying Shark fighters, some for takeoff positions on the carrier’s decks, the rest to be stationed at the Russian airbase near Latakia. The Chinese will also deploy Z-18F anti-submarine helicopters and Z-18J airborne early warning helicopters. In addition, Beijing will consign at least 1,000 marines to fight alongside their counterparts from Russia and Iran against terrorist groups, including ISIS.
DEBKAfile’s counterterrorism sources point out that just as Russian marines will be instructed to single out rebel militias with recruits from Chechnya and the Caucasus, the Chinese marines will seek out and destroy Uighur fighters from the northern predominantly Muslim Chinese province of Xinjiang.
In the same way that Putin has no wish to see the Chechen fighters back in Russia, so too Chinese President Xi wants to prevent the Uighurs from returning home from the Syrian battlefields.

ISIS training pilots to fly in three jets: Syria monitor

Reuters
BEIRUT (Reuters) - Iraqi pilots who have joined Islamic State in Syria are training members of the group to fly in three captured fighter jets, a group monitoring the war said on Friday, saying it was the first time that the militant group had taken to the air.

The group, which has seized land in Syria and Iraq, has been flying the planes over the captured al-Jarrah military airport east of Aleppo, said Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Reuters was not immediately able to verify the report and U.S. Central Command said it was not aware of Islamic State flying jets in Syria.

Witnesses Describe Horrors As ISIS Seeks To Overtake Kobane

It is all in the name of Islam, in the cause of Allah, in pursuit of the caliphate. And the West’s response is to declare that it has nothing to do with Islam. Imagine if, during World War II, the elites declared that Nazism had nothing to do with Germany — while the Nazis took over whole swaths of Europe.

Thousands of people trapped in a besieged Syrian border town face genocide by drug-crazed Islamic State terrorists.
This is the horrific reality described by the Kurds who have managed to flee into Turkey from Kobane, where the barbaric fanatics hold sway, despite coalition air strikes.
Terrified civilians are stuck in the town and in a no-man’s land between the outskirts and the border, which is closed to them.

Obama plans ISIS Strategy

War against Isis: US strategy in tatters as militants march on

World View: American-led air attacks are failing. Jihadis are close to taking Kobani, in Syria – and in Iraq western Baghdad is now under serious threat.

America's plans to fight Islamic State are in ruins as the militant group's fighters come close to capturing Kobani and have inflicted a heavy defeat on the Iraqi army west of Baghdad.
The US-led air attacks launched against Islamic State (also known as Isis) on 8 August in Iraq and 23 September in Syria have not worked. President Obama's plan to "degrade and destroy" Islamic State has not even begun to achieve success. In both Syria and Iraq, Isis is expanding its control rather than contracting.
Isis reinforcements have been rushing towards Kobani in the past few days to ensure that they win a decisive victory over the Syrian Kurdish town's remaining defenders. The group is willing to take heavy casualties in street fighting and from air attacks in order to add to the string of victories it has won in the four months since its forces captured Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq, on 10 June. Part of the strength of the fundamentalist movement is a sense that there is something inevitable and divinely inspired about its victories, whether it is against superior numbers in Mosul or US airpower at Kobani.

Gunfire and explosions can be heard from the Syrian border town of Kobane where Islamic State fighters are trying to encircle its Kurdish defenders.
The Kurds repulsed a pre-dawn attack and still control the town's border crossing point with Turkey.
The crossing point is a vital supply and exit route, correspondents say.
In Iraq, officials in Anbar province reportedly made an urgent appeal for military help against IS, warning the region could be overrrun.

ISIS Battles for Kobani

UN:housands likely to be massacred if jihadists take Kobani

Turkey agrees to support the trainning and equipping of moderate opposition groups in Syria; US says airstrikes may not be enough to help Kobani.

Thousands of people most likely will be massacred if Kobani falls to Islamic State fighters, a UN envoy said on Friday, asmilitants fought deeper into the besieged Syrian Kurdish town in full view of Turkish tanks that have done nothing to intervene.

UN envoy Staffan de Mistura said Kobani could suffer the same fate as the Bosnian town of Srebrenica, where 8,000 Muslims were murdered by Serbs in 1995, Europe's worst atrocity since World War Two, while UN peacekeepers failed to protect them.

"If this falls, the 700, plus perhaps the 12,000 people, apart from the fighters, will be most likely massacred," de Mistura said. The United Nations believes 700 mainly elderly civilians are trapped in the town itself and 12,000 have left the center but not made it across the border into Turkey

Devastation in Kobani as Battle Rages - VIDEO

On the ground in the besieged city of Kobani, images taken from social media purportedly show the devastation inside the Syrian town near the Turkish border. It has been under attack from ISIL fighters for more than three weeks.

ISIL is said to control around half of the town including key buildings in the security quarter. The insurgents could be seen moving around the northeast to complete their encirclement.

US-led airstrikes have intensified in recent days, but the White House admits that air strikes alone are not going to save Kobani.

Under pressure to act, Turkey has agreed to train and arm moderate Syrian opposition groups following talks with Washington.

Turkish tanks remain poised on the border, Ankara says any intervention hinges on support from the international community.

KOBANI: Islamic State beheads 3 female fighters

One blows herself up taking several Islamic State fighters with her ***GRAPHIC***

A couple of days ago I posted about a Syrian Kurdish female combatant who shot herself with a last bullet during fighting with militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) so as not to be taken alive.
She was right.

Shia Post According to reports, takfiri killer who shared his photo with head of a YPG’s fighter has been sent to hell by YPG.
The reported advance came despite intense air raids by the US-led coalition on ISIS positions around the strategic town. Kurdish media outlets said coalition warplanes targeted the ISIS militants on the southern side of Mishte Nur and in the nearby village of Halanj as well as Mazraa Dawud, a few kilometers east of Kobani along the Turkish border.
The nearly three-week intense battle for the strategic town of Kobani has forced about 200,000 of people to take refuge in Turkey. The ISIS controls large areas of Syria’s east and north. The group sent its militants into Iraq in June, seizing large parts of land straddling the border between Syria and Iraq. They have carried out heinous crimes in the two countries, including mass executions and beheadings of people.

Turkey Will Not Put Boots On The Ground To Go After ISIS

by  on October 9, 2014 in FeaturedGeneral

By Walid Shoebat
So what happened with all the mounting international pressure and all the hoopla on key NATO member Turkey for a military intervention against ISIS in Syria?
Well, as we stated so many times in the past in which we can sum up the relationship of Turkey and ISIS is that the two are “in bed together” and now the “Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara had no intention of sending ground troops across the border without outside help”, says AFP.
“It’s not realistic to expect that Turkey will lead a ground operation on its own,” said Cavusoglu. “We are holding talks (thats all they do is talk). Once there is a common decision, Turkey will not hold back from playing its part (ya sure).”
The Turkish foreign minister was speaking to reporters in Ankara after holding talks (talk no fight) with visiting NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg … bla bla bla.
You get the picture, never trust a Muslim nation to ‘kill other Muslims’ of the same feather.
