The latest Kobane situation graphic shows the Kurds have now been driven from Tell-Shair (Oct 23rd, '14)
Despite the relentless US terror raids, the Kurdish militants/Opium smugglers have been driven from Tell-Shair, the one piece of high ground they held around Kobane.
The Kurds are now being engaged in the villages between the hill and the western perimeter of the town itself
Images two and three show the effect of a terror raid by US forces on Tell-Shair today
Whatever the final result, there will not be a lot of Kobane left as a result of the damage inflicted by US terror raiders.
Yesterday the central police station was destroyed by two bombs
The detail is much clearer once the image is clicked.
The purple strip indicates clashes are ongoing around the entire area still controlled by the Kurds, which is still roughly a quarter of the town, although there are strong rumours of Kurds withdrawing from more of the most southerly territory they held until today.

The black flag of the Islamic terrorist group ISIS is shown flying above St. Peter’s Square on the cover of the group’s magazine Dabiq, which called in its latest issue for a war against the Catholic Church.
ANSA (h/t TROP) With the headline The Failed Crusade, the photo-shopped cover of Dabiq caps new threats against Rome and the Vatican as well as forces led by the United States in a bombing campaign in Iraq and Syria against ISIS militants.
It threatens to “conquer” Rome and “break your crosses,” referring to the symbol of Christianity. The group has previously suggested that the fight is about religion and western forces are attacking the Islamic faith rather than the militants – a modern version of the medieval Crusades that pitted the Roman Catholic Christians of the day against Islam.

Refugees who made it to Suruc, just across the border in Turkey, tell of witnessing appalling horrors in hushed tones, as if they can barely believe it themselves.
Father-of-four Amin Fajar, 38, said: ‘I have seen tens, maybe hundreds, of bodies with their heads cut off. Others with just their hands or legs missing. I have seen faces with their eyes or tongues cut out – I can never forget it for as long as I live. They put the heads on display to scare us all.’
Turkey denies allowing US to use bases for anti-IS strikes - Obama Lies?
Turkey on Monday denied statements by US officials that it had allowed the United States access to its air bases for operations against Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria.
"There is no new agreement with the United States about Incirlik," a government official told AFP, referring to an air base in southern Turkey that the US wants to to use to launch air strikes. "Negotiations are continuing" based on conditions Turkey had previously laid out, the official added.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A secret decision apparently has been made by the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and even Iran to let the strategic Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani on the Turkish-Syrian border fall to ISIS fighters, jeopardizing the lives of some 160,000 Syrian Kurds, WND has been told by a well-placed Middle East expert.
In letting Kobani fall to ISIS, the source said, there was agreement “to deal with ISIS later.”
The apparent decision aims to diminish the influence of the Kurds in Syria and weaken the prospect of creating a sovereign Kurdistan, which is sought by the Kurds not only in Syria, but in Turkey, Iran and Iraq..
“It is a real set up behind the backs of everyone,” the well-placed source told WND.

Islamic State seizes large areas of Syrian town despite air strikes

MURSITPINAR Turkey/BEIRUT (Reuters) - Islamic State fighters seized more than a third of the Syrian border town of Kobani, a monitoring group said on Thursday, as U.S.-led air strikes failed to halt their advance and Turkish forces looked on without intervening.
With Washington ruling out a ground operation in Syria, Turkey said it was unrealistic to expect it to mount a cross-border operation alone to relieve the mainly Kurdish town.
The U.S. military said Kurdish forces appeared to be holding out in the town, which lies within sight of Turkish territory, following new air strikes in the area against a militant training camp and fighters.

So what happened with all the mounting international pressure and all the hoopla on key NATO member Turkey for a military intervention against ISIS in Syria?
Well, as we stated so many times in the past in which we can sum up the relationship of Turkey and ISIS is that the two are “in bed together” and now the “Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara had no intention of sending ground troops across the border without outside help”, says AFP.
“It’s not realistic to expect that Turkey will lead a ground operation on its own,” said Cavusoglu. “We are holding talks (thats all they do is talk). Once there is a common decision, Turkey will not hold back from playing its part (ya sure).”
The Turkish foreign minister was speaking to reporters in Ankara after holding talks (talk no fight) with visiting NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg … bla bla bla.
You get the picture, never trust a Muslim nation to ‘kill other Muslims’ of the same feather.

Media alarmed as ISIS enters Kobane
Regional papers mull the possibility of Turkish military action against IS
Islamic State's advance on the northern Syrian town of Kobane, which is on the Turkish border, has caused alarm in media across the Middle East.
In Turkey, many newspapers publish pictures of Turkish tanks positioned on the border with Syria. Some also carry Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's remarks that Ankara is willing to send troops to Syria if the US targets the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
"The circle is closing" is how the hoisting of IS flags on buildings and hills in and around Kobane is described by a headline in Hurriyet, one of Turkey's main newspapers. The centre-right dailyHaberTurk calls the situation in Kobane "a fight for survival".

Kobane: IS 'may soon take Syria-Turkey border town'
Intense firing overnight has continued during the day
The key Syria-Turkey border town of Kobane might fall to Islamic State (IS) fighters soon, an official there has told the BBC.
A flag appearing to be that of Islamic State has been seen flying over a building on the eastern edge of Kobane.
The official, Idriss Nassan, said IS was now in control of Mistenur, the strategic hill above the city.
Kobane has seen intense fighting over the past three days as Syrian Kurds try to defend the town.
US-led forces have been conducting air strikes on IS positions in the area to try to slow their advance.
There were unconfirmed reports of another such strike overnight.
The IS militants have been besieging the town for nearly three weeks. More than 160,000 Syrians, mainly Kurds, have fled across the border since the offensive was launched.
