'SUSTAINED CYBERATTACK' CRIPPLED WHITE HOUSE FOR TWO WEEKS

A "sustained cyberattack" has crippled the White House for at least two weeks or longer, reports the Huffington Post.

The Obama White House confirmed that it "identified activity of concern on the unclassified EOP [Executive Office of the President] network." The Huffington Postcites sources familiar with the situation as saying that this attack was much more significant than usual cyberattacks and was responsible for "putting the system on the fritz for nearly two weeks, if not longer."
The White House said it was not in a position to offer details.
However, as the Post notes, "Network outages are not uncommon in the White House, but they typically last no more than a few hours. For the system to be damaged for days on end indicates an attack of significant strength."

Ban all incoming and outgoing flights from Ebola stricken countries

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Have the FAA ban all incoming and outgoing flights to ebola-stricken countries until the ebola outbreak is contained

The Ebola virus has reached unprecedented epidemic proportions in West Africa, and has been joined by another unrelated concurrent outbreak in the Congo. Experts had stated it was 'highly unlikely' that ebola would show up on American soil. But now it has, in the City of Dallas, Texas, brought here by an individual who entered our country from the West African nation of Liberia, where ebola is rampant. The citizens of the US are scared. We do not want any more ebola-infected individuals bringing the epidemic to our shores. The longer we allow people to enter our country from ebola-stricken areas, the higher the chance another person infected with ebola will arrive here, putting ALL of our citizens at risk. Please tell the FAA to ban ALL incoming flights from any/all ebola-stricken regions.

Sign Amnesty Plea for WH Fence Jumper

Photo of Neil Munro
NEIL MUNRO
White House Correspondent
The man who jumped the White House railing Sept. 19 deserves the right to live in President Barack Obama’s home, just as the president is allowing hundreds of thousands of border-jumping Central Americans to live in Americans’ homeland, says a new tongue-in-cheek petition posted at the White House website.
“We urge President Obama to immediately and publicly recognize that Mr. Omar J. Gonzalez, an oppressed migrant, was merely looking for a better life when he entered the White House after going over the classist, divisive and needless fence,” says the petition, which was authored by D.A. King, founder of the Georgia-based Dustin Inman Society, which advocates for actual enforcement of immigration law.
“In the interest of White House diversity and what will surely result in adding to the rich tapestry of love and community, we further demand that the President reform the mean-spirited laws regulating access to the People’s House,” says King’s’ petition, which mimics the pro-amnesty language used by business and ethnic lobbies.

Snoop Dogg Got Really High At The White House [VIDEO]

Snoop Dogg — or is it Lion? Hard to keep up — says he smoked weed in a White House bathroom.
Snoop hosted Jimmy Kimmel as a guest on his Internet talk show (I use that term loosely) “Double G News Network,” and told Kimmel about the time he smoked weed in the White House.
“In the bathroom, in the bathroom,” Snoop explained, “Not in the White House, but in the bathroom.”

Murrieta Mutiny: Border Patrol Will Not Obey Unlawful Orders From Homeland Security and White House

As the Department of Homeland Security and The Department of Health and Human Services scrambled to find food, medical care and shelter for up to 60,000 illegal immigrants making their way into the United States over the last several months, they came up with the idea of shipping thousands of undocumented migrants to detention centers in Murrieta, California.

Americans showed up in droves to protest the proposed drop-offs. So much so that the gatherings made national news. Swarms of Americans, many of whom hailed from foreign countries themselves, stood in the middle of the road blocking scores of buses as they attempted to reach their destinations at makeshift refugee camps set up by DHS and HHS.

White House Breaks Its Silence on Jailed Marine in Mexico

The White House gave its first significant comments Monday on the imprisonment of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi in Mexico, but still had little to say.

Asked about demands that the U.S. work for Tahmooressi’s release, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the matter is different from that of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, because the latter was being held by an enemy combatant.
“I don’t have lot of information on that,” Earnest said. “The president is concerned about all detainees who are Americans being held against their will.”

General: We Knew Benghazi Was A ‘Hostile Action,’ State Department Could Have Helped Save Americans

by Patrick Howley
Political Reporte

A retired U.S. general serving at U.S. Africa Command headquarters during the Benghazi terrorist attack said that “there was a lot of waiting for State Department” to make a decision during the attack, and confirmed that the U.S. did not do enough to help save the four Americans killed at the U.S. Consulate in Libya in 2012.
The White House insisted after the attack that the American deaths resulted from a spontaneous protest caused by an Internet video mocking Islam. But the general said Thursday that the U.S. knew early on that the attack was a “hostile action.”
“What we did know early on was that this was a hostile action,” Retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell said in a statement presented to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Thursday. “This was no demonstration gone terribly awry.”

Typhoon Haiyan - Obama, the White House, Typhoon Haiyan

The White HouseSaturday, November 16, 2013

Last Friday, Super Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the Eastern Philippines. The images coming out of the disaster over the course of the past week have been devastating.
Entire towns and cities have been washed away. Tens of thousands of families are without homes and searching for loved ones.
The President recorded a message addressing this tragedy, describing the response and recovery efforts of American teams on the ground right now -- and most importantly, how you can help.
Watch the video and learn how you can support these urgent humanitarian efforts.

Last weekend, the President ordered a swift, coordinated response: U.S. Marines were some of the first on the ground in the hardest-hit areas after the storm made landfall.
And right now, American aircraft are delivering bottled water, generators, and trucks to affected areas. Emergency shelter material and basic supplies for 10,000 families are on the way. Aid workers will help feed tens of thousands of adults and children in the days to come.
Watch the President's message, and learn how you can support the disaster-relief efforts on the ground:
