It is becoming increasingly clear that Sharia Law is a contentious issue that continues to arise in the United States. Meanwhile, Muslim-sympathizing leftists continue to turn the other cheek. Recently, a sign was discovered that illustrates the issue of Sharia law infiltrating America, causing outrage among Muslims and their leftist allies.

American News  (h/t Manithan) The sign comes after Sharia Law has forced even large American chain retailers to give in to relentless Muslim demands for excessive religious accommodations in the public sphere. Several states have passed amendments which ban sharia law from being recognized by the courts for any reason.

ISIS giving shopkeepers 80 lashes for selling cigarettes

As with so many applications of Islamic law, we see here again that it is an empire of fear, with virtue enforced by draconian punishments that make people too afraid to step out of line. Behind the Islamic moral critique of the West is not genuine virtue, but people cringing in fear of being lashed, getting their hands amputated, getting stoned to death, etc.

Shopkeepers caught selling cigarettes in the ISIS-conquered city of Mosul now face 80 lashes, more than two weeks in jail and a hefty fine. The 700,000 Iraqi dinar penalty is the equivalent of $580 — or enough to buy an iPhone 5S or Windows 7 laptop computer in the country. Anyone caught trying to import cigarettes into the northern Iraqi city also faces 80 lashes, as well as four months in jail and a fine of up to 4 million Iraqi dinar — the equivalent of about $3,300.

The punishments are among the strict Islamic laws imposed by the extremist group which has seized parts of Iraq and Syria. They were detailed on the website of the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights. A staff member at the University of Mosul, who spoke on condition of anonymity for his own safety, confirmed to NBC News via telephone that the laws had been implemented and were in effect. He said anyone caught smoking in Mosul could be fined 20,000 Iraqi dinar — or around $16. That’s enough to by a pair of jeans or groceries to provide three meals for a family of four. One Mosul resident told NBC News that the new rules had sent the price of cigarettes soaring in the city. He added that people were now afraid to smoke in their homes.

Alabama voters approve law banning Sharia

Hamas-linked CAIR and other Islamic supremacist groups claim that such laws infringe upon Muslims’ religious freedom. In reality, neither Alabama nor any other state would be contemplating anti-Sharia laws were it not for Sharia’s political and supremacist aspects, and its elements that are at variance with Constitutional freedoms — notably, its denial of the freedom of speech and the freedom of conscience, and of equality of rights for women and non-Muslims. But American judges rarely give the anti-Sharia side a fair hearing, and generally strike down such laws on the spurious grounds that they violate the First Amendment, without considering Sharia’s political, authoritarian or supremacist aspects in any way.

Alabama voters passed a constitutional amendment Tuesday to prohibit the use of foreign laws in state courts. Republican state Sen. Gerald Allen, who is also a Baptist deacon, sponsored the amendment. He proposed a similar measure in 2011. It never made the ballot since it made specific mention of Islamic Sharia law, which was deemed a violation of the Constitution. A similar measure was also rejected in Oklahoma last year for the same reason, though the judge who struck it down acknowledged that if the term “Sharia” was removed it could solve the problem.

httpAmendment One, or “American and Alabama Laws and Alabama Courts Amendment,” bars state courts from applying “any law, rule or legal code system used outside of the United States or by any other people, group or culture different from the people of the United States or the States of Alabama.” Sharia refers, in general, to moral code and religious laws of Islam, drawn from the Quran and Sunna. In recent years,dozens of states have proposed measures to keep judges from consulting this and other foreign laws, with varying degrees of success.

For that, Latif Siddique was fired from the Bangladeshi government. But the controversy didn’t end there. In Bangladesh, Muslims by the thousands demonstrated in the streets, demanding his death. Massachusetts Public Schools Teaching ‘There Is No God But Allah’

This is an outrage, but expected and exactly what I warned of in my book, Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance, in the chapter “The Mosqueing of the Public Schools.”

The shahada that the children are forced to recite in Massachusetts public schools is the Muslim profession of faith (“there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”).

In order to convert to Islam, one says the shahada. Saying the shahada makes you a Muslim.

The shahada is what is on the black flag of jihad.

Iran has gone ahead with an execution of a woman despite an international campaign urging a reprieve.

Reyhaneh Jabbari, 26, was hanged in a Tehran prison on Saturday morning. She had been convicted of killing a man she said was trying to sexually abuse her.

Jabbari was arrested in 2007 for the murder of Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence ministry worker.

Human rights group Amnesty International said her execution was "deeply disappointing in the extreme".

2 arrested after starting bar fight, making threats, Volusia cops say

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Two men are facing charges after Volusia County deputies said they started a fight at a bar Wednesday night.

Staff at the Jus’ Beachy Bar on Ocean Shore Boulevard claimed they refused to serve alcohol to 54-year-old Faisal Albagdadi and 30-year-old Ahmed Hindi after they walked into the bar already drunk.

“I need cops at Jus’ Beachy Pecker’s Pub immediately. I got a huge fight going. I mean they’re tearing (expletive) up,” the caller told 911 dispatchers. “We wouldn’t even serve him when he came in, he was so drunk.”

Deputies said that’s when the men got angry and attacked the customers.

“They’re using chairs and everything else,” the caller told dispatchers.

Deputies said the men smashed six bar stools, threw several glasses that cut one woman in the eye and beat up a couple of men. At one point, the fight got so out of control, the dispatcher couldn’t get a hold of the caller.

The men took off before deputies arrived, but the caller was able to get their tag number and the description of their car. Ormond Beach police then quickly tracked down the car and arrested the men.

The arrest report showed that not only did Hindi deny initiating the bar fight, deputies said Albagdadi was uncooperative and threatened to “kidnap an American and behead him, once he’s released from jail.”

When in the Era of Extreme Religious Liberty Can State Prison Administrators Enforce Security Needs?

Supreme Court Preview of Holt v. Hobbs:  Next week, the Supreme Court will hear argument in the case of Holt v. Hobbs, in which a Muslim inmate in an Arkansas prison is arguing for the right under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) to have a beard in violation of the prison’s rules. RLUIPA is the federal law that imposes on local and state governments the same standard as that imposed by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) federal law, and which was at issue in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. To wit, a prison may not substantially burden an inmate’s free exercise of religion unless serving a compelling interest in the least restrictive means. The standard is one that was never applied to prisons before RFRA and RLUIPA appeared on the horizon in 1993 and 2000 respectively. Currently, the Arkansas prison officials in this case permit ¼-inch beards for medical reasons (which likely means they must also for religious reasons under the First Amendment), but they have objected to Holt’s demands for a longer beard. The advocates for extreme religious liberty have heaped condescension on the prison authorities for their concerns. It’s just a ¼ inch, right? But what is really at stake is how deeply involved federal courts will become in the micromanagement of state prisons and the nationalization of religious accommodation across all local, state, and federal prison systems. Not to mention how prisons are supposed to handle their most violent inmates with the federal courts looking over their shoulders. The Prison Policy and the Jihadist Inmate This prison policy, which is common among state prisons, was implemented for “health and hygiene”; to maintain a “standard appearance throughout . . . incarceration”; to “minimize opportunities for disguise”; and to “minimize opportunities for transport of contraband and weapons.” These are interests few could denigrate, unless they do not know how prisons operate or what prisoners are like. http://goo.gl/xckBgT TweetMe Please

Iran set to execute woman accused of killing attempted rapist

An Iranian woman sentenced to death for killing a man who tried to rape her told her mother goodbye and prepared to die, even as the Islamic republic’s president was meeting with world leaders at the United Nations.

Rayhaneh Jabbari, 26, is set to be executed Tuesday, according to reports from Iran. On Monday, her mother, Shole Paravan, recounted on her Facebook page an emotional farewell call her daughter made when a sympathetic guard loaned her a cellphone before she was taken to Rajaiy Shahr Prison to be hanged.

“I am currently handcuffed and there is a car waiting outside to take me for the execution of the sentence,” Jabbari told her mother, whose recounting in Farsi was translated by FoxNews.com. “Goodbye, dear Mum. All of my pains will finish early tomorrow morning. I’m sorry I cannot lessen your pain. Be patient. We believe in life after death. I’ll see you in the next world and I will never leave you again because being separated from you is the most difficult thing to do in the world.”

Somali Muslim welfare queens demand free ‘halal’ food

Many in the Somali Muslim community say finding a food bank that caters to their Islamic dietary restrictions is almost impossible.

A group of first-generation Somali Americans says they need help in developing (aka funding) a food bank that specializes in barbarically-slaughtered Islamic-approved halal foods that do not contain pork or pork byproducts. (And is way more expensive than normal food)

Iranian blogger gets death sentence for “insulting the Prophet” on Facebook

We’re much more enlightened here in the U.S. No one would get a death sentence here for “insulting the Prophet.” Oh, no. All someone who was deemed to have insulted Muhammad here would get would be charges of “hatred,” “bigotry” and “Islamophobia,” and vitriolic attacks from the mainstream media and groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center. See — we are much, much freer and more enlightened than the Iranian mullahs.

Blasphemy is punished in Iran by Stoning - a grisly practice that can be viewed at LiveLeak. Humans are buried up to their necks, a bag put over their head and an assembled crowd of "Believers" throws stones at their head until they are dead.  The stones must be carefully chosen so the suffering of the sinner is prolonged. It is very bloody but happens regularly. You are encouraged to watch it.

But we have "No Strategy" we are told to combat this threat; does that surprise you coming from somone with TWO MUSLIM FATHERS and an early childhood Education in Islam?

Netanyahu: Two-state solution impossible, Israel on frontlines of jihad

This is, as far as I know, the first public acknowledgment by any world leader that a “Palestinian” state would like become just another jihad base for new attacks against Israel, just as Gaza did. It is good that Israel has such a clear-sighted leader in these difficult days, but noteworthy that this rather obvious truth is so obscure and so seldom articulated. Is Barack Obama really so naive as to think that a “Palestinian” state would result in peace, or would he like to see the advent of another jihad base against Israel?
