Desperate Democrats resort to race-baiting

The spate of campaign fliers that use images of lynchings, Jim Crow laws and the recent racial unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, to urge blacks to vote in next week’s election somehow failed to grab the attention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The NAACP headquarters in Washington wasn’t prepared to answer questions about the fliers and mailers circulated in black communities in Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina, despite widespread news coverage of it for the past week.

With just one week until the midterm elections, things are not shaking out too well for for Democrats no matter “how you slice it.”

You know it’s bad when the person saying that is former Obama spokesman Jay Carney.

According to Carney, now a political analyst for CNN, Democrats are in for a tough midterm election, telling CNN host Jake Tapper and fellow analyst Bill Kristol, “Democrats are going to have a bad election day, no matter how you slice it."

Pro-GOP Chicago Pastor Gets Death Threats, Church Collection Box Robbed

A black Chicago pastor is speaking out about death threats he has received after publicly supporting the Republican candidate for governor. 

The harassment didn't end there. This weekend, nearly $8,000 was stolenfrom New Beginnings Church's collection box. 

Corey Brooks told Steve Doocy this morning that the box had been there for six months, with members putting in change and small amounts. 

The money was going to go toward the construction of a community center on the South Side. 

"The young people have nowhere to go. They have nowhere to express or enhance their lives. ... Our church has been working diligently to raise funds. We haven't depended on the government to give us anything," said Brooks.

The robbery came shortly after threats to Brooks over his support for Bruce Rauner for governor against Democrat incumbent Pat Quinn. 

"I'm definitely not backing down," said Brooks, explaining that he supports Rauner as the best choice for the state and the city.

This is not the response expected from their multi-trillion-dollar super-government by the American people, especially not for a highly-publicized problem everyone could see coming from 5,700 miles away (give or take whatever diversions might add to the precise total of air miles from Monrovia, Liberia to Dallas, Texas.)  But it’s exactly what every student of the Ineptocracy was expecting, and so is the next step taken by liberals to defend the shabby performance of the Leviathan they love.  Overnight, in unison, as though a switch had been thrown on their messaging machine, the Left stopped saying that Ebola is a nothingburger blown out of proportion by the rubes in flyover country… and started telling the dupes in their voting base that Ebola is a horrifying crisis caused by Republican budget cuts.

"The Rush Limbaugh Show" on Wednesday accused a "small number of hardcore political activists" and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee of being behind a two-year-old Stop Rush protest that amounts to "blackmail" of small business people who advertise with the high-profile conservative talk-show host.

In a release issued on Businesswire.com, Limbaugh’s show fired back at the smear campaign against him: “The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s newest email spam, asking their recipients to sign a petition calling for sponsors to end their relationship with The Rush Limbaugh Show, is based on the two-year old Stop Rush political protest as its inspiration. After an investigation, The Rush Limbaugh Show has discovered a far darker story to Stop Rush, and is today releasing the hidden story of the people and motives behind the Stop Rush conspiracy.”

Limbaugh show spokesman Brian Glicklich said in a post on the show's website that "a small number of politically motivated out-of-state activists are distributing target lists indiscriminately, and annoying small businesses until they give up the advertising deals that help them grow, or risk being unable to conduct business at all."

Illinoisans are frustrated. But the depths of that frustration may not have been evident until now.

According to a recent Gallup survey:

“Illinois has the unfortunate distinction of being the state with the highest percentage of residents who say it is the worst possible place to live. One in four Illinois residents (25%) say the state is the worst place to live, followed by 17% each in Rhode Island and Connecticut.

“Throughout its history, Illinois has been rocked by high-profile scandals, investigations, and resignations from Chicago to Springfield and elsewhere throughout the state. Such scandals may explain why Illinois residents have the least trust in their state government across all 50 states. Additionally, they are among the most resentful about the amount they pay in state taxes. These factors may contribute to an overall low morale for the state’s residents.”

For the first time, Gallup conducted a poll in all 50 states to ask whether residents view their state as: the best possible place in which to live, as good as any to in, or the worst possible state to live in. A minimum of 600 residents was polled in every state.

Not only was Illinois rated as the worst place to live by its own residents, but it also beat the next two worst places – Rhode Island and Connecticut – by 8 percentage points, and the leading state – Montana – by a whopping 25 percentage points.

On Sunday on Fox, National Journal columnist Ron Fournier commented that the Republican Party’s harsh stance on immigration and other issues have made it increasingly “the party of white people.”

In response, Alabama Representative Mo Brooks shot back on Monday during a conservative broadcast saying that someone had to stand up for white rights. After all the Democratic party was waging an all-out war on the whites in America.

“This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else,” Brooks told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday.

WASHINGTON – A senior U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs official told a bipartisan congressional panel Friday that the VA’s senior executives often conduct their own performance reviews with little or no oversight – a circumstance that likely resulted in a bonus payout totaling $2.8 million in 2012.

The VA’s Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Administration, Gina Farrisee, told Congress that from FY 2010 to FY 2013, not one of the 470 members of the Senior Executive Service, or SES, whose pay typically ranges between $121,749 and $181,500, received a less than fully satisfactory or successful rating.

As WND reported in late May, The VA’s highly controversial bonus system came under fire by agency critics who say the incentive money motivates some employees, especially managers, to misrepresent achievements in order to meet performance goals.
