HOUSTON, Texas--Breitbart Texas has learned that many of the illegal immigrants who continue to flood the U.S.-Mexico border are never medically screened before being housed in taxpayer subsidized shelters. 

Ramiro Cordero--a Border Patrol spokesman in El Paso, Texas--told Breitbart Texas that instead of administering thorough medical checks, "we ask a series of verbal questions. We talk to the people to determine if we need to take them for further medical care."

He added, "We're not medical providers."

POPE FRANCIS CALLS ON U.S. TO WELCOME ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide.

Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.”

Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of children who migrate alone, unaccompanied, to escape poverty and violence.” He further sympathized, saying that “this is a category of migrants… who cross the border with the United States under extreme conditions and in pursuit of a hope that in most cases turns out to be vain." The Pope added that the amount of those willing to take the dangerous journey “are increasing day by day."

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans.  The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b)increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.

The chaos in Texas shows they won’t.  Faced with a clear hole in the border — with a wave of tens of thousands of undocumented Central Americans crossing into the U.S. in order to get in line for hearings years from now, which they likely won’t attend while they continue to live here – pro-reform activists have scrambled, not to show their border security bona fides, but to generate arguments and outbursts designed to let the new wave stay.  As CBS‘s Major Garrett reported, when President Obama, met with activists at the White House, he proposed that he make it clear that new migrants who don’t qualify for humanitarian relief won’t get in. The activists would have none of it:

European-Americans are being intentionally replaced by a more malleable Third World population

Unlike ethnic cleansing, which is carried out by foreign armies during war, Savage says ethnic replacement is the tactic used by the Democrats and their leftist supervisors to replace the current European-American majority with a "more malleable Third World population." While ethnic replacement is occurring in America, where are all the loudmouths? Where are the usual enforcers of immorality? I don't hear any objection to this increase in our population from groups like the anti-population growth groups or pro-choice people. Where did all the high priestesses of birth control suddenly go while America is being smothered by the hoards being ushered in from Central America by Obama and Pelosi? The answer is that these groups always intended to reduce the white population and replace it with a more malleable, Third World population. Obama is orchestrating a Malthusian war against the more dominant European-American population. Border agents know this. They're saying that gangs are using processing centers as recruitment hubs. The TSA is letting these illegals on planes without ID while you're being frisked by some guard making $9 an hour. Why are the churches still able to hang onto their non-profit status while they are violating the principle separation of church and state by siding with this administration? Alien Children Program Cost $263 Million Already This Year

The federal program for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC)—which provides long-term foster care, apparel, and interpreter services for thousands of young illegal immigrants, the majority of which are placed in the United States—has already cost $263 million this year.

The recent surge in underage illegal immigrants crossing the southern border has prompted President Barack Obama to ask for $3.7 billion in additional funding, $1.8 billion of which would go to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which administers the UAC program.

Feds: Pastors not welcome at immigration camps

Pastors and churches have been banned from helping the thousands of illegal immigrant children housed in border detention facilities run by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, clergy in Texas and Arizona tell me.

“Border Patrol told us pastors and churches are not allowed to visit,” said Kyle Coffin, the pastor of CrossRoads Church in Tucson, Arizona. “It’s pretty heartbreaking that they don’t let anybody in there -- even credentialed pastors.”

Pastor Coffin even asked if they could provide the children with toys, blankets and food. But the federal government’s response was the same – no donations allowed.

Remember the FENCE? Immigration crisis spurs renewed calls for border barrier

The surge of tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children from Central America into Texas has revived calls for a border security measure long mocked by Democrats but touted by Republicans as a commonsense solution: A big, long fence. 

Those calls became even louder after President Obama submitted a $3.7 billion emergency funding request to address the immigration crisis that did not include much in the way of border security. The package was focused mostly on covering detention and transportation costs, deportations, health care and immigration judges and lawyers. 

Bridenstine is pushing for the enforcement of The Secure Fence Act of 2006. The law, signed by then-President George W. Bush, authorized hundreds of miles of fence construction along the southern border, in addition to more checkpoints, cameras, vehicle barriers and lighting to catch people.

Todd Starnes told Sean Hannity on FOX News tonight that the illegal immigrant children held at Lackland Air Force base in Oklahoma are bringing diseases into America. The children have tuberculosis, scabies and lice so bad you can see them running down their faces.

“It’s one giant emergency room. They tell me tuberculosis has become a very dangerous issue there. Nurses say the number of children representing symptoms of tuberculosis is ‘simply staggering.’ Spitting up blood, chest pains, constant coughing. There are at least three confirmed cases for the illegals in Austin, Texas… The federal government is covering up the threat of the health crisis. They say the kids have scabies. They also say they have chicken pox. And lice so severe they can be seen crawling down the faces of the children.“

Illegal Aliens at US Border carry many diseases causing major public health crisis

When my grandfather entered the U.S. in 1903 from Bialystock, Poland when his parents were killed, he was first detained at Ellis Island and screened by the Public Health Service for “loathsome or dangerous contagious diseases.” If he had been found to have tuberculosis, venereal disease, trachoma, or favus, he would not have been allowed in. More than 75 years later, when my wife came here from Moscow in 1989, she also underwent rigorous public health screenings. 

Currently, several diseases make a foreign national inadmissible to the U.S. for health reasons. These diseases include leprosy, active tuberculosis, cholera, plague, five separate sexually transmitted diseases, and influenza caused by strains with the potential to cause a pandemic. Foreign nationals who are not vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, and several other diseases are also not allowed legal entry.

Since illegal immigrants who enter the U.S. are not prescreened in any way, many carry disease. The Rio Grande Valley Sector of the Border Patrol has detained 150,000 illegal immigrants so far in just this year alone. Eighty thousand children are expected to cross the southern border illegally in 2014. The Border Patrol and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have set up temporary holding centers in southern Texas and Arizona, where conditions are cramped and unsanitary. Ten to 25% of the immigrants in that area are suffering from scabies, a highly contagious intensely itchy rash caused by insect mites.
