NEW YORK (Reuters) - A 21-monthmonth-old girl is the first in the state of Michigan and second in the U.S. to die this year from a strain of the enterovirus that has infected more than 500 people across the nation, health officials said on Saturday.

Madeline Reid, who was stricken with Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68), passed away late on Friday while being treated at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, hospital officials said in a statement.

"It is never easy to lose a child, and our entire healthcare team at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan is deeply saddened by this family’s loss and mourns with them during this very difficult time," Rudolph Valentini, chief medical officer at the children's hospital, said.

Sharyl Attkisson, the former CBS reporter who was stonewalled while investigating the Benghazi scandal, said the federal government's lack of transparency regarding the Enterovirus outbreak is leading some Americans to believe that it could be related to the thousands of illegal immigrant juveniles from Central America who have been released in every state. 

The polio-like Enterovirus has killed five children, most recently a four-year-old New Jersey boy who went to sleep last Friday asymptomatic and was found dead. Writing on her new website, Attkisson said "the origin could be entirely unrelated" but because the "CDC hasn’t suggested reasons for the current uptick or its origin," some are questioning "whether the disease is being spread by the presence of tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children from Central America admitted to the U.S. in the past year."

Attkisson cited "a study published in Virology Journal," which "found EV-D68 among some of the 3,375 young, ill people tested in eight Latin American countries, including the Central American nations of El Salvador and Nicaragua, in 2013." And she mentioned that "though the U.S. government is keeping secret the locations of the illegal immigrant children, there are significant numbers of them in both cities in which the current outbreak was first identified, Kansas City, Missouri and Chicago, Illinois.

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Tennessee Department of Health received confirmation Wednesday from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of two cases of enterovirus-68 in Tennessee.

One patient lives in Shelby County in West Tennessee, and the other in East Tennessee. Both were young children who were hospitalized for their illnesses, but are now home and doing fine.

"As expected, Tennessee has been impacted by enterovirus-68 as have most other states this fall," TDH Commissioner Dr. John Dreyzehner said. "We have now confirmed two cases, while other samples have testned positive for different, common, seasonal cold viruses. It is also likely other samples will test positive for EV-68 in the future."

The virus Invasion of America continues as emergency rooms in Chicago and other Midwestern cities see a jump in the number of children with respiratory infections.

It remains unclear how many of the infections stem from what is called enterovirus D68, or EV-D68, authorities said. Authorities have confirmed 11 cases of EV-D68 in Chicago and dozens across the Midwest, but because testing, if done at all, takes time, the real number could be higher.

In Quincy, Ill. Blessing Hospital saw over 70 patients with respiratory illnesses consistent with EV-D68 over the Labor Day weekend alone.

Though the virus continues its march across the nation we don't even know where the Illegals who carry it are!

The Obama regime will NOT disclose the location of these diseased PIGS though they continue to put us in danger.
