Hamas: “Gaza will be the graveyard of the occupation soldiers, and these are not slogans”

Jul 18, 2014 at 1:11pm GazaHamasIsrael 28 Comments
samiabuzuhriYes, in fact, they are slogans. When Hamas starts sounding like Baghdad Bob, shaking its fist and issuing thunderous warnings to the Israelis, you know the jihadists are very, very afraid. Note also this: “Asked why Hamas was unwilling to stop the rocket fire that drove the Israeli cabinet to vote for the ground operation, Abu Zuhri replied, ‘That sort of decision would continue the occupation for another 20 years, as Oslo did. In exchange for this blood [caused by the continued fighting], we will bring normal life to the Gaza Strip.’” Conveniently swept under the rug is the fact that Gaza is not occupied and has not been since the unilateral Israeli withdrawal from it eight years ago. That withdrawal was supposed to “bring normal life to the Gaza Strip.” Instead, it brought more and more jihad.
“Hamas: Gaza will be a graveyard for IDF,” Times of Israel, July 18, 2014:
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri warned Israel Friday that Gaza will become a graveyard for IDF soldiers, a day after Israel launched a ground offensive into the Strip as part of Operation Protective Edge.

Netanyahu Orders Military to Get Ready to KICK TERRORIST ASS

By Calev Ben-David and Saud Abu Ramadan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he ordered the military to prepare to widen a ground operation against militants in the Gaza Strip that began after days of aerial bombardment.

Israeli soldiers, backed by tanks, heavy artillery, aircraft and warships, moved into the Hamas-controlled enclave late yesterday after 2,100 air strikes over 10 days failed to quash barrages of rockets fired from Gaza at Israel.

At least 272 Palestinians, including dozens of children, and two Israelis have been killed since fighting intensified last week. Ground troops were sent into the densely populated territory of 1.8 million after Israel foiled a raid by militants who crossed the border through a tunnel, Netanyahu said.

Hamas to social media activists: Always call dead “innocent civilians”; don’t post photos of rockets being fired from civilian areas

hamas_human_shield“Anyone killed or martyred is to be called a civilian from Gaza or Palestine, before we talk about his status in jihad or his military rank. Don’t forget to always add ‘innocent civilian’ or ‘innocent citizen’ in your description of those killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza.” And the mainstream media eagerly plays along with their cynical game.
“Hamas Interior Ministry To Social Media Activists: Always Call The Dead ‘Innocent Civilians’; Don’t Post Photos Of Rockets Being Fired From Civilian Population Centers,” MEMRI, July 17, 2014:
In light of the recent round of fighting in Gaza, the Hamas interior ministry has issued guidelines to Gaza Strip social media users for reporting events and discussing them with outsiders.

IDF paratroopers uncovers eight rodent tunnels during Gaza ground operation

IDF soldiers from the Paratrooper Brigade uncovered 8 shafts leading to smuggling tunnels during Friday morning skirmishes in the Gaza Strip. The find aligns with the government declaration that the IDF's main targets in their ground incursion would be tunnels in use by Hamas.

The troops apparently uncovered the tunnels in coordination with intelligence efforts and found a cache of weapons being stored there.

Overnight, an IDF soldier was killed and five other soldiers sustained light to moderate wounds in separate incidents. Palestinian officials say that at least 31 Gazans have been killed since the ground operation began, including three children.
