Social Media Words Count

Your Blogger, Tweets and Facebook Posts all must be read. The reader on the Internet will judge your material in a few paragraphs at most and a few sentences at least. Words count.
These are the words that get and keep readers, which translate into Followers, which translates into Customers.

For Blogger:
  • Smart, Surprising, Science
  • Hacks, Hackers, History
  • Huge, Big, Critical

For Twitter:
  • Media, Free, Follow
  • Top, Follow, Twitter, Please Retweet
  • You, Please, 10
  • HowTo, Retweet, Social, Post
  • Social Media, Help, Great
  • New Blog Post, Check It Out, Blog Post

For Facebook::
  • Warns,  Inspires, Unites
  • Advises (How-Tos), Amuses (Funny PIctures and Quotes)
  • Amazes, Gives (Offers, Deals)

The right words can double, triple and multiply your web visits beyond belief.

Social Media is about a lot of things, and words are at the very heart of it all.

Triberr Poised to Take the Blogging World by Storm

Triberr Poised to Take the Blogging World by Storm
Triberr is putting authors first.
I spoke with Dino Dogan, founder of Triberr, while he was recovering from one of the toughest issues a tech start-up can face: server downtime. Triberr, the blog-sharing uber-machine, experienced a database issue during what was supposed to be a routine maintenance session, and ended up down for the better part of two days. One of the amazing aspects of the outage, aside from Dino's calm demeanor, was the simple outpouring of support from Triberr community members. With most other online services, where the users are free or paying, when there's an outage you can hear the outcry for miles around. Not so with Triberr, where the support flowed on the company blog post that was providing server updates, to Twitter and Facebook and Google+ updates from members, to full-blown blog posts from members talking about how great Triberr and the Triberr community are.

How to create tweetable links in your blog

In an earlier article on mobile websites for business, we mentioned several telling statistics and gave you quick links to tweet those stats out to your own Twitterfollowers. This is a technique that we noticed on Social Media Today and wanted to duplicate on our own articles when appropriate. By providing tweetable links, you offer readers an opportunity to share some interesting information from your blog while also sharing a link to your article at the same time.

What is a Tweetable Link

A tweetable link is when you provide a link that, when clicked, will open a new window for the reader as a Twitter status update. The content is already filled in so all they have to do is click "Tweet" unless they'd like to edit it first. Here's an example:
Mobile friendly sites can improve customer engagement up to 85%. <Tweet This

The Ninth Circuit Holds—Correctly—That a Blogger Has the Same Defamation Protection as a Journalist

JULIE HILDENFEB 03, 2014 12:01 AM

U.S. ConstitutionOn January 17, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled, as a matter of first impression, that First Amendment defamation rules apply equally to both the institutional press and individual speakers and writers, such as bloggers.
Because this was the core issue in the case, I’ll focus on this issue, rather than on the underlying factual dispute between the parties (a blogger named Crystal Cox, and several companies that Cox had criticized publicly.)
The Ninth Circuit narrowed the statements at issue in the c

Blogging for your Business

Blogging for your Business
Every new site that we build for clients comes with the ability to blog, out of the box. So, naturally, blogging is always one of our first recommendations. Not because it's there but because it makes good business sense to do so.
First, every website needs to have *some*method for regularly adding new content. Google search engine results are based on relevancy. The more relevant a site is for a given search the higher it will rank. Google tries to determine relevancy using a number of factors, but two important ones are frequency of keyword and update frequency. So, the more often you write, using specific targetted keywords, the better your site will perform in search engines.
