AP Poll: Women Turning to GOP as Obama, Democrats Plunge W

Two weeks before Election Day, most of the nation's likely voters now expect the Republican Party to take control of the U.S. Senate, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll. And by a growing margin, they say that's the outcome they'd like to see.

But the survey suggests many will cringe when they cast those ballots. Most likely voters have a negative impression of the Republican Party, and 7 in 10 are dissatisfied by its leaders in Congress.

The Democrats win few accolades themselves. Impressions of the party among likely voters have grown more negative in the past month. In fact, Democrats are more trusted than the GOP on just two of nine top issues, the poll showed.

The economy remains the top issue for likely voters — 91 percent call it "extremely" or "very" important. And the GOP has increased its advantage as the party more trusted to handle the issue to a margin of 39 percent to 31 percent.

President Obama's here today to try to rescue Pat Quinn – AGAIN.  It hasn’t worked twice before – so they’re hoping the third time’s the charm.  Will you chip in $10, $100, or $1,000 to make sure it doesn’t work?

The President arrives just hours after the Chicago Sun-Times, the Peoria Journal Star, the Champaign News-Gazette and the Belleville News-Democrat joined the chorus of voices endorsing our vision for Illinois and calling out Pat Quinn for what he is – the worst governor in America.  We are sweeping the endorsements around the state – and the latest independent poll shows us inching ahead, up 2%. 

Early voting starts tomorrow and the President is here to try to stop our momentum.  He sees what’s happening – they all do.  Pat Quinn is heading toward defeat and the national Democrat Party is panicking.  Will you chip in $10, $100, or $1,000?

Since last week’s debate, voters around the state are waking up to a scary reality – we might be just over two weeks from a massive tax increase.  Pat Quinn wants to raise taxes right after the election.  The only way to stop a massive tax hike is to stop Pat Quinn.  Will you help?

The President is here today.  Bill Clinton’s on deck.  Then Joe Biden.  Pat Quinn and the special interests who control Springfield are pulling out all the stops.  We’ve got the momentum. But they’re not pulling back.

Media reports say that the Democrats have spent more money in Illinois than any other governor’s race in America. Barack Obama has done more Pat Quinn than any other candidate in America.

Heck, the Sun-Times joked they’d send Bo and Sunny if it’d help Pat Quinn.

Well, I don’t have them. But I do have you. Will you help?
