I wrote this piece this morning over at PamelaGeller.com about the deceptive and dishonest British Islamic supremacist Mehdi Hasan:

Mehdi Hasan is Britain’s answer to Reza Aslan: a mainstream media darling whose fawning sycophants never challenge him on his numerous misstatements and deceptive claims about Islam. He once infamously claimed that Muslims always keep the moral high ground, and declared that non-Muslims live like animals. He claims Islam is a Religion of Peace, making his case with the usual half-truths, distortions, and outright lies.

And also like Aslan, he is a foe of the freedom of speech; like other Islamic supremacists, he wants Islam’s blasphemy laws brought to the West in the guise of “hate speech” laws, and applied in order to silence all criticism of Islam, including examinations of how Islamic texts and teachings incite people to acts of hatred and violence. What he calls for here is of a piece with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s years-long campaign to intimidate the West into criminalizing “incitemettpnt to religious hatred” — that is, criticism of Islam and opposition to jihad terror.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, a possible GOP presidential candidate in 2016, is blasting Houston Mayor Annise Parker for taking legal action to obtain from a group of local pastors copies of sermons that have anything to do with homosexuality, gender identity or the mayor.

As WND reported Monday, the subpoena came in the city’s legal defense of a “non-discrimination” measure that allows “gender-confused” people to use public restrooms designated for the opposite sex.

In a statement Wednesday, Cruz said he was proud “to stand with the pastors.”

“Religious liberty is the very first protection in the Bill of Rights, the foundation of all our liberties,” he said. “The city of Houston’s subpoenas demanding that pastors provide the government with copies of their sermons is both shocking and shameful.”

The subpoenas were issued to five pastors after opponents of the ordinance filed a lawsuit. The pastors were part of a coalition of Houston-area churches that opposed the law, but they were not part of the lawsuit.

Beretta USA Announces Decision To Move Its Entire Maryland Manufacturing Capabilities To Tennessee

Beretta U.S.A. Corp., located in Accokeek, Maryland, announced today that it has decided to move its manufacturing capabilities from its existing location to a new production facility that it is building in Gallatin, Tennessee.  The Gallatin facility is scheduled to be opened in mid-2015.  Beretta U.S.A. had previously planned to use the new Gallatin, Tennessee facility for new machinery and production of new products only.

“During the legislative session in Maryland that resulted in passage of the Firearm Safety Act of 2013, the version of the statute that passed the Maryland Senate would have prohibited Beretta U.S.A. from being able to manufacture, store or even import into the State products that we sell to customers throughout the United States and around the world.  While we were able in the Maryland House of Delegates to reverse some of those obstructive provisions, the possibility that such restrictions might be reinstated in the future leaves us very worried about the wisdom of maintaining a firearm manufacturing factory in the State,” stated Jeff Cooper, General Manager for Beretta U.S.A. Corp.

“While we had originally planned to use the Tennessee facility for new equipment and for production of new product lines only, we have decided that it is more prudent from the point of view of our future welfare to move the Maryland production lines in their entirety to the new Tennessee facility,” Cooper added.

Facebook to Track Users’ Activity on Other Sites, Apps

Facebook will soon start tracking what users in the U.S. do not just on Facebook but also on other websites and apps to more effectively target them with ads.

The practice is common — even for some ad networks Facebook partners with — but the social network had previously based its ads mainly on what people did on Facebook, such as what pages they liked.

Users “want to see ads that are more relevant to their interests,” Facebook said in an announcement about the changes Thursday.

It’s very telling that their vandalism is anti-Semitic.The vandalism demonstrates yet again the desperate insecurity and authoritarian tendencies of the foes of the U.S., Israel and freedom. The supporters of Hamas-tied CAIR and the Palestinian jihad cannot answer our arguments or refute our assertions. They cannot debate so they destroy. All that is left to them is to try to silence us forcibly by vandalizing our printed messages and smearing and defaming the messenger. It is the tactic of thugs and fascists, and should be opposed by all free people.

She also told TruthRevolt that she anticipated such reaction to the posters: “I printed up a stack of these posters, knowing how the destroyers operate. This ad is being replaced today, as will any other …  I made an even bigger “Truth About CAIR” buy in other US cities. So Hamas-CAIR  better rent a bus. Road trip!”

CAIR has attacked Geller and denies that they are connected to Hamas and terrorism, saying, “The short answer to this is guilt by association. CAIR has hundreds of board members and employees and thousands of supporters. It would be illogical and unfair to hold CAIR responsible for the personal activities of all these people.” CAIR even featured Geller in an Islamophobia profile. Reached via email, Geller denied these charges and defended herself from CAIR’s accusations on Wednesday afternoon:

Was it a “few select members” that got CAIR named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case? Was it a “few select members” that led a California chapter of CAIR to put up posters exhorting Muslims not to talk to the FBI? Was it a “few select members” who led CAIR’s co-founder and longtime Board Chairman Omar Ahmad to say: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth”? Was it a “few select members” who led CAIR’s spokesman Ibrahim Hooper to say that he would like to see “the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future”? Was it a “few select members” that led former CAIR Board member Ihsan Bagby to say: “Ultimately, we (Muslims) can never be full citizens of this country…because there is no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this country”? What about Mustafa Carroll of  CAIR-Texas, who said: ”If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land”? Or Dawud Walid of CAIR-Michigan, who said: “Did Mohammed order the killing of Jews? He didn’t order it. Sa’ad ibn Mu’aadh (RA) ordered that punishment. It was a correct one”?

Hamas-CAIR has opposed virtually every counterterror measure proposed or enacted. Its leaders have made numerous supremacist statements. The information in my ad is only the tip of the iceberg.

They cannot refute so they name-call and smear. It’s a tactic  — distract and destroy.

Americans concerned over the buildup of military-style units within non-security-related federal agencies – specifically Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams – are having those concerns confirmed.

A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities reveals what critics say is a policy that outlines the potential use of military force against Americans by the Obama administration, reports the Washington Times.

While the document – signed by then-Deputy Defense Secretary William J. Lynn – contains standard provisions on support to civilian emergency services, special events and domestic use of the Army Corps of Engineers, it also outlines presidential authority for use of military weapons and personnel against Americans during times of domestic unrest.

Canadian geneticist David Suzuki urged Western governments to lock up politicians who question man-made climate change, telling PBS’ Bill Moyers “our politicians should be thrown in the slammer for willful blindness!”

Suzuki appeared on “Moyers and Company” earlier this month to express his abject frustration over politicians, in both Canada and the United States, who refuse to accept the “settled science” on man-made global warming.

Leaping, naked, into the Golden Gate Park bison paddock will, on most days, get you arrested. That was certainly the case during yesterday's Bay to Breakers. Official police tallies also include 24 public intoxication arrests and three public urination citations (these three folks must have done something remarkable to stand out among a 50,000-strong army of public urinators). 

Not showing up on police stat-sheets disseminated to the media, however: Two adolescents' lemonade stands busted up at Fell and Cole. The 11-year-old proprietor of one of those stands, SF Weekly is told, was informed that simply giving away the fudge brownies and lemonade the police forbade her from continuing to sell would result in a $1,500 fine. Preteens selling goodies, the police reportedly lectured the lemonade stand proprietor, was unfair to establishments that bothered to get a license for their activities -- like Starbucks. 

Our calls to the police have not yet been returned. This is not, however, the San Francisco Police Department's first strike
