#Obama and GENOCIDE ! @LATimes

Obama won't use the word 'genocide' when commemorating the 100th anniversary of the massacre of Armenians
President's decision not to use the word 'genocide' in referring to Armenian massacres angers activists
White House officials have decided that President Obama will not use the word “genocide” to describe the killings of more than 1 million Armenians at the hands of Ottoman Turks when he commemorates the deaths Friday, the 100th anniversary of the massacres.
The decision, revealed Tuesday in a meeting with Armenian American groups, backs down from a previous Obama pledge.
“As president I will recognize the Armenian Genocide,” Obama said while running for president in 2008.
His decision not to do so now sparked anger from activists.
“The president’s surrender represents a national disgrace,” said Aram S. Hamparian, executive director of the Washington-based Armenian National Committee of America. “It is a betrayal of the truth, and it is a betrayal of trust.”
White House officials defended the decision as necessary to preserve the chance of cooperation with Turkey, a NATO ally, on Middle Eastern conflicts.
The Turkish Embassy, which has spent millions lobbying Congress on the issue, did not respond to a request for comment. the Turkish government has said that the mass killings do not meet the legal definition of genocide and that it would be a mistake for the U.S. to use the term. Some members of Congress have also warned that a shift in official U.S. references could hurt American foreign policy.
California has the country's largest population of people of Armenian descent, with more than 200,000 living in Los Angeles County, according to U.S. Census data.

#TCOT Turkey Having Talks About Invading #Jerusalem, In A Major World War

by  on December 29, 2014 in FeaturedGeneral

By Walid and Theodore Shoebat (Shoebat Exclusive)
A major talk was organized in Konya the birth place of Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu and in his presence before a jubilant crowd shouting in Nazi style Davutoğlu can be seen elated at the statements spoken by the leader of Hamas, Khalid Mashal. The fiery speech hailed Turkey headed by Erdogan and Davutoğlu as the representative and head of the entire Muslim world and praised him for the soon invasion of Jerusalem in the coming world war.
In the speech, which was not aired in major media (Shoebat.com was able to obtain the footage thanks to Willi Adelberger) and after the crowd calmed down their Nazi style chants, Mashal reminded that “Jerusalem is the first center of direction for Muslims. It was Konya that in 1980 when Jerusalem was threatened rose up for Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque”. Looking towards the near future Mashal declared:
As Turkey for centuries was the main defender of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, likewise with you are the center of the Muslim Umma (Muslim nation) which will carry on the mission of liberating Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.
At the 6:10 mark of the video Khalid Mashal declared:
know this, that strong Turkey is the strength of Palestine and of Jerusalem.
At around the 7:14 mark he exclaimed:
Turkey is the strength that represents all Muslim nations.
The crowed at that point paused and in unison with an elated should cried out “Allahu Akbar”
There is a picture of Davutoglu in front of the crowd; he can be seen right next to a young boy:

Ahmet Davutoglu, Erdogan’s right hand man, is seen instantly clapping in jubilation at such affirmations the moment Khalid Mashal spoke of conquering Jerusalem with the crowds waiving flags that stem from the Turkish favorite colors in which the Ottomans prided themselves with the “fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow” (Revelation 9:17) which are also the colors of the flags the neo-Ottomans like to carry. In every time one can see Davutoğlu, he is smiling in joy.
Mashal complemented the AKP Islamic party of Turkey of their accomplishments in what he termed “lightening speed to have accomplished what they accomplished for the advancement of the Muslim world”. “Allah is with us and is with you for victory” Mashal reminded of war against Israel. He ended his speech reminding that he will invite Erdogan and Davutoğlu into the Temple Mount: “We were welcomed in Istanbul and now in Konya and tomorrow we will welcome you into the platform of Al-Aqsa (Temple Mount) in the next conferences, by the will of Allah”.

A bipartisan group of two dozen members of Congress have written aletter to the U.S. Treasury Department asking for sanctions on Turkey and Qatar, supposedly two U.S. “allies,” for their support of Hamas and other Islamist terrorists (Click here to see a copy of the letter)
“Any entity or nation that continues to back this U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization [Hamas] and provides it material and financial support should be sanctioned…We also request specific public updates on Treasury’s discussions with the Qatari government on previously designated, Qatar-based terrorist financiers that the Qataris have yet to act upon,” the letter requests.

International Social Media and Freedom of Expression

Investigative journalists have traditionally served as a powerful check on government abuse of power and corruption. With traditional print media under threat worldwide, many have looked to social media to fill that void. Whether social media companies can withstand the political pressure this will prompt remains unclear, but chances are improved by more and greater transparency directed at exactly these issues. The role of in-house counsel in these issues is as novel as it is fundamental.
These issues are currently in motion in Turkey. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been embroiled for months in a corruption scandal. His response has been heavy-handed. He retaliated against police officers and prosecutors—effectively holding captive the key investigative units of the justice system. Social media sites like Twitter and YouTube enabled reporters to leak information to the public, circumventing traditional media outlets that are more susceptible to government censorship, until Erdogan ordered Twitter’s site blocked. The country’s highest court forced him to lift the block; however, it issued several follow-on demands, including that Twitter reveal the identities of those posting leaks from a continuing corruption investigation. Various governments worldwide, including that of the United States, have made similar requests for online account information in the past, with Twitter giving up at least some user information in many of those cases. Although Twitter seems unlikely to cooperate with Turkey’s politically charged request for user identifications, it has agreed to prevent certain posts from being visible in Turkey and appointed a local representative to handle remaining open issues.

The Turkish government's campaign to censor the web continued Saturday night after most local Internet service providers "intercepted" Google's Domain Name Service, the tech giant said.
The move comes after the government blocked access to YouTube and Twitter in the run up to Turkey's local elections. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently said he would "eradicate" Twitter.

Twitter users in Turkey bypassing the country-wide ban on the microblogging network may now have an even more difficult time accessing the service.
The Turkish government appears to have strengthened its directive blocking local residents from using Twitter as of Saturday by cutting off access to the service at the IP level, according to the Washington Post.

Twitter battle in Turkey heats up, spreads to YouTube -- reports

The fight over a Twitter ban in the country intensifies, as the government reportedly blocks a workaround, the White House weighs in, and Google refuses to yank YouTube vids critical of the prime minister.

Turkey's battle over Net censorship is heating up, with the government there reportedly blocking a method that let citizens sidestep a Twitter ban, the White House expressing "serious concern" over the ban, and Google reportedly refusing requests from Turkish authorities to take down YouTube videos that cast the prime minister in a critical light.
Bloomberg cited Turkish newspapers in reporting that the Turkish government had blocked on Saturday a Google service that enabled citizens to tweet. Setting a PC or mobile device to use Google's DNS IP address of 8.8.8.8 had let people slip past the ban (and graffiti displaying the phrase "DNS 8.8.8.8" was even spotted around Turkey, helping spread the word). But on Saturday the government prevented access to Google DNS, Bloomberg said.

Turkish Twitter Users Circumvent Ban Via HootSuite - It is TIME TO FIGHT BACK!!!!

Screen Shot 2014-03-21 at 2.14.44 PM
Yesterday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced an attempt to “eradicate” Twitter. The move was a response to criticism on the social network of widespread corruption in his government.
The ban has so far proved ineffective. Today, The Guardian reported that Twitter users in Turkey have managed to send 2.5 million tweets since the announcement. Turkey ranks 8th in the world in Twitter penetration, and the government’s recent efforts to curb its citizens access to social media do not appear to be diminishing their enthusiasm for it.
HootSuite has emerged as one of the tools Twitter users are turning to as a means of circumventing the ban. Our traffic from Turkey has tripled in 24 hours. Through HootSuite, users can access their Twitter accounts, as well as Facebook, Google+ Pages and LinkedIn accounts. This follows the pattern we observed during the Arab Spring uprising in Egypt.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is EXACTLY WHY it is high time to FIGHT BACK! The enemies of the USA and West have been attacking our computer networks, phone networks and more for decades and we have done little more than to play fix it.

IT IS TIME TO FIGHT BACK!!!

Let's start ATTACKING THEM!!!!

Turkey Blocks Google DNS, YouTube Could Be Next

Posted  by

The social media crackdown in Turkey continues, as the country has moved to block backdoor access to communications services like Twitter through Google DNS. YouTube, another service offered by the global search giant, might be next after refusing to remove videos alleging government corruption.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government called the ban a “preventive measure” after the service had been used by citizens to spread allegations of corruption within the government. “Twitter has been used as a means to carry out systematic character assassinations by circulating illegally acquired recordings, fake and fabricated records of wiretapping,” the government said in a statement.
After Twitter users found themselves unable to access Twitter beginning Thursday, many turned to Google’s DNS service as a way to circumvent the ban. By typing in Google’s DNS addresses (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) into their browser, they were able to continue using Twitter. That proved only a temporary solution, however, as the government has removed access to that service as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So let's BLOCK RIGHT BACK! The Arabs have been using their tecn for years to attack our web sites, but they are real boos compared to Americans.  So why don't we muster our forces and HACK BACK?  Let's ATTACK their web sites the same way they have attacked ours!

Fighting Turkey's Twitter Ban With DNS Graffiti

When Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said he wold eradicate Twitter, he wasn't joking.
The Prime Minister's office issued a statement on Thursday stating that Turkish officials had "no option" other than to ban the service, which had been used to release damaging information about him. But the edict was met with controversy and retaliation, both from Turkish citizens and Turkey's elite, including its president. The Turkish local elections are only 10 days away.

Mashable Op-Ed
This post reflects the opinions of the author and not necessarily those of Mashable as a publication.
So how was your day, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan? We're guessing it didn't go quite the way you intended. For example, several million fewer people on this planet didn't associate your name, if they knew it at all, with the word "dictator."
But that was the top worldwide trending hashtag for many long primetime hours on Twitter Thursday — #DictatorErdoğan. Suddenly, millions of non-Turks who didn't know your name went running to their Wikipedias to find out this latest globally-acknowledged bad guy was. Who was joining the elite club of North Korea, Iran, Syria and the other global pariahs who've tried blocking Twitter?
