Shariah law is a code of laws based on and guided by the Islamic faith.  It generally allows for the mistreatment of women and views them as property, allowing a Muslim man to “own” multiple wives.

Although polygamy is illegal in the United States, it is apparently acceptable in Michigan, as an informative video explains how Muslim men are able to claim up to four wives as dependents while on welfare. (H/T The Conservative Citizen)

According to the video, Muslim men can claim up to three additional wives on their welfare application as “extended family,” and they will qualify for additional benefits.

ARMED CITIZENS GATHER IN MICHIGAN, PROTEST 'INVASION' OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

On July 14 citizens carrying American flags, Gadsden flags, and signs saying, "Seal Border" marched through Vassar, Michigan, in protest of the "invasion" by illegal immigrants and plans to house Central American children there.

Some of those who took part in the march also carried "semi-automatic rifles."

According to the Detroit News, "the demonstrators... marched one mile, from city hall to a social services facility that would house the young undocumented immigrants."

Tamyra Murray organized the protest. She said, "We must act. We must save America and stand up to this invasion." Building contractor Matt Krol participated in the march, saying, "We the people are standing up and saying we will not allow illegal immigration."

This marks the second such protest in as many weeks in Vassar.

MASON, Mich. (AP) — Dozens of gay Michigan couples rushed to recite vows one day after the state’s ban on same-sex marriage was lifted, even though their joy Saturday was tempered by fear that a higher court could set aside the judge’s ruling.

Glenna DeJong, 53, and Marsha Caspar, 51, of Lansing, were first in line at the Ingham County Courthouse in the central Michigan city of Mason. DeJong and Caspar, who have been together for 27 years, received their marriage license and immediately were married by Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum.

“I figured in my lifetime it would happen,” Caspar said. “But now, when it happens now, it’s just overwhelming. I still can’t believe it. I don’t think it’s hit me yet.”
