Dumb Ass Boko Haram lets Over 60 Women and Girls Escape

While their captors were attacking a military base near Damboa, Nigeria on Friday, more than sixty woman and girls managed to escape a Boko Haram encampment.

A local vigilante told journalists he had "received an alert from my colleagues... that about 63 of the abducted women and girls had made it back home".

"They took the bold step when their abductors moved out to carry out an operation," he said.

The news was confirmed by a high-level security source in the state capital of Maiduguri.

Suspected Boko Haram Islamists armed with explosives attacked a series of churches near Chibok on Sunday , the north-eastern Nigerian town where more than 200 teenage girls were kidnapped in April, witnesses said.

Residents said dozens of people may have been killed in the raids on villages roughly six miles (10km) outside Chibok, but no one was able to offer an authoritative death toll and the military was not available to comment.

At least 10 people have been killed and 14 injured in an explosion in the northern Nigerian city of Bauchi, police say.

Police spokesman Mohammed Haruna told AFP news agency the blast, which took place on Friday evening, occurred in a building widely known as a brothel.

The cause of the blast is not clear, although Islamist militant group Boko Haram have repeatedly attacked Bauchi.

Nigeria's Boko Haram crisis reaches deadliest phase

Since the abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls two months ago and subsequent international promises of assistance to Nigeria, attacks by Islamist Boko Haram militants have been relentless.

This year has been without doubt the most violent stage of the conflict so far, with at least 3,300 people killed in Boko Haram-related violence since January.

And where the insurgents are operating they are killing, looting and torching entire villages often with little or no resistance.

"If government can't protect us, let them give us guns," one resident of a village near Chibok, from where the girls were abducted, told me.

A car bomb ripped through a busy shopping center in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Wednesday.

At least 21 people were killed in the explosion, according to the Associated Press.

Now that it has been revealed that Nigerian generals have been arming this bloodthirsty group, it is clearer why they have been able to operate with such impunity in Nigeria, and continue to do so. But neither the mainstream media nor the leaders of the great nations of the West dare to consider the implications of the fact that this group’s supposed twisting and hijacking of Islam is shared by people at high levels of the Nigerian government.

The Islamist group Boko Haram has been accused of killing at least 27 people in attacks on two villages in north-east Nigeria, close to where hundreds of schoolgirls were seized.

Gunmen killed 10 people in the village of Shawa and a further 17 in Alagarno, police and witnesses said.

The area is near Chibok, where the schoolgirls were abducted last month.

On Tuesday 118 people died in a double bombing in the central city of Jos, also blamed on Boko Haram.

Islamist extremist group Boko Haram continues to rampage freely through northeastern Nigeria, blowing up a second strategic bridge, killing an unknown number of villagers and abducting the wife and two children of a retired police officer, residents said Saturday.

News of the ongoing carnage came as a team of French intelligence experts landed in the country, joining American and British teams with hopes of rescuing 276 school girls kidnapped more than three weeks ago by the terrorist group.

Details were murky on the latest child captives, taken Friday as Boko Haram converged on the town of Liman Kara on the Cameroon border, driving 3,000 people from their homes.

Muslims carry out more violence in Nigeria

YOLA, Nigeria -- Islamic extremists blew up a bridge, killed an unknown number of people and abducted the wife and two children of a retired police officer in northeast Nigeria, residents said Saturday as an international effort got underway to rescue 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by the militants.

International outrage at the failure of Nigeria's military to rescue the girls abducted a month ago was joined Saturday by U.S. first lady Michelle Obama. In a radio address on the eve of the Sunday honoring mothers in the United States she said she and President Obama are "outraged and heartbroken" over the April 15 mass abduction.

"In these girls, Barack and I see our own daughters," Mrs. Obama said, referring to Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12. "We see their hopes, their dreams and we can only imagine the anguish their parents are feeling right now."

While the world tut-tuts Boko Haram (officially the Congregation of the People of the Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad) for abducting schoolgirls and selling them off in forced marriage, the jihadists are unperturbed. They can watch the news as well as the rest of us can, and they see the Western leaders covering over their Islamic motives and goals: they know weakness when they see it.

But to pay too much attention to such matters would be “Islamophobic,” and neither government and law enforcement authorities nor the general public have yet caught on to the fact that every resistance to jihad terror and Islamic supremacism is ipso facto “Islamophobic,” and the whole point of charging “Islamophobia” is to clear away all obstacles to the advance of jihad terror.

DAMATURU, NIGERIA –  Islamic militants killed 29 students in a pre-dawn attack Tuesday on a northeast Nigerian school, survivors said, setting ablaze a locked dormitory and shooting and slitting the throats of those who escaped through windows. Some were burned alive.

Soldiers guarding a checkpoint near the government school were mysteriously withdrawn hours before the attack, said the spokesman for the governor of Yobe state.
