LEMON: Jason, I want to ask you something because, you know, there are people were talking to you. Of course, we don’t want profanity or expletives on television if we could avoid them. But what’s the sentiment? What were those men saying to you, the protesters?

CARROLL: They were angry. I don’t want to give them the publicity to be honest. It is really — I mean, people, certain people have an agenda that’s separate from what some of the protesters, who are peaceful, who are coming out here, trying to demonstrate on behalf of Michael Brown’s family.

Those people who came up to us that was not their agenda so I don’t think it’s really worth giving them publicity. I think it’s far more important to focus on what is happening out here, those who are passionate about Michael Brown’s family. Those were passionate about Darren Wilson and his belief.

In terms of the police response, that’s what we are dealing with here, right now, trying to get a handle on the situation. Again, earlier tonight, it was a different tone. Much more peaceful than what we had seen, the previous night. It was a smaller group tonight by and large.

Most of the people who came out here tonight were peaceful. It was definitely a smaller group that they broke off in front of the Ferguson Police Department, came up the street, South Florissant, to where we are now.

Tried to overturn this police cruiser and as soon as police came in, they stopped. They tried to set it on fire. Once again, Don, much more aggressive response that we saw, quicker response tonight to try to make sure they didn’t see a repeat of (inaudible).

LEMON: So, Jason, my question was really, these are, wondering if these are people who want their voices to be heard or if these were just people who are agitators. You are right. If it is people who are agitators then you don’t want to give them any more publicity. There are many people there who just want their voices heard. Those, those guys are not those people, correct?

CARROLL: That is correct. Absolutely. Those are the kind of people — as you know, you get a mixed bag sometimes in these groups of demonstrators. But most of the people who are out here are out here because — they want to voice their support for Michael Brown and his family.

Some Ferguson protestors are apparently blaming the Jews for the civil unrest. Apparently deeming the volatile situation an opportune time to promote a boycott of Israel, several protestors carried a large banner saying, "occupation is a crime, Ferguson to Palestine" and calling for the resistance of "U.S. racism" by boycotting Israel:

In this photo (thanks to Kay), Leftist demonstrators relate the strife in Ferguson to the “Palestinian” jihad. And Pamela Geller has a great deal of information on how Islamic jihadists and supremacists, including the Hamas-linked terror organization CAIR, have tried to co-opt the Ferguson riots as part of their own jihad. Most noteworthy is the active presence in Ferguson of “Palestinian” jihad activist Bassem Masri.

The connection between Ferguson and “Palestine” (and the global jihad in general) is clear: both the Islamic supremacists and the Ferguson rioters think that the American system is corrupt and must be brought down. The Islamic supremacist presence in Ferguson is thus akin to jihad recruitment in prisons: both attempt to capitalize upon resentment toward America and American authority, and channel it into jihad.

Two notable acts of violence have occurred during the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., near where police officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown on Aug. 9, where a memorial has been set up for the 18-year-old.

Marcus DiPaola, a journalist for Getty Images, and his colleague, Emily Molli, was attacked and robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday at the memorial site near the Canfield Green apartments.

The Wall Street Journal’s Jason Riley said Tuesday the real cause of violence in black communities is black-on-black crime and not police officers.

“The issue here is black criminality, not the behavior of cops,” Riley told Fox News host Megyn Kelly, noting the homicide of African-Americans is too high, and the “leading cause of death for young black men.”

Riley, who appeared with Vincent Warren of the Center for Constitutional Rights, also echoed former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s comments on “Meet the Press” Sunday, saying the main reason for deaths among African-Americans is “because other black people are shooting them.”

All eyes are on the U.S. Department of Justice after last week’s announcement that a St. Louis County grand jury declined to indict a police officer in the death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

Brown was shot and killed Aug. 9 by Ferguson, Mo., police officer Darren Wilson. The Justice Department launched a criminal inquiry into Brown’s death and a broader civil rights probe into the Ferguson police department.

With the grand jury proceedings over, the Justice Department faces added pressure as the public waits for the outcome of its investigations, said William Yeomans, a former attorney in the department's Civil Rights Division who serves on the faculty at American University Washington College of Law.

“They are the last game in town,” Yeomans said.

But Yeomans and other former federal prosecutors said they didn’t expect the grand jury’s decision to affect how the Justice Department carried out its investigations.

“These are complicated, difficult cases, and the Civil Rights Division will do the kind of thorough and thoughtful investigation that they usually do. That will be true independent of the grand jury’s decision,” said Edward Siskel, a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr who served in the White House Counsel’s office and as an associate deputy attorney general.

Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder questioned why the National Guard did not intervene Monday night to subdue the rioters and looters following the announcement that officer Darren Wilson would not be indicted for the death of Michael Brown.

Last week, Dem. Gov. Jay Nixon activated the National Guard in preparation for the grand jury announcement, but did not end up utilizing them last night, when cars were smashed and destroyed and nearby businesses were looted and burned down.

“The vast majority of Missourians are asking this morning … where were they last night?” Kinder, a Republican, asked Tuesday morning on “Happening Now.” “The law-abiding citizens and business owners and taxpayers of Ferguson, the St. Louis region have a right to ask this governor to answer some questions.”

#FergusonDecision can be ended tonight

The response of the #Fersuson Police and MO National Guard last night was a disgrace.

Many lost their businesses and those not insured lost all.  Law enforcment was put to the test and failed miserably.

Tonight they have another chance, and their response can end this insanity quickly -
