#PJNET Fox News Poll: Voters agree with Brown grand jury, disagree with Garner

Two grand juries recently declined to charge white police officers in connection with the deaths of unarmed black men.  Americans think one was right and the other wrong. 

That’s according to the latest Fox News poll.

Commentators and others have understandably linked the decisions coming in quick succession out of Ferguson, Missouri and New York City.  Yet voters apparently see key distinctions between the two cases.

An NYPD confidential informant learned of the threat on Friday evening — three days after a Staten Island grand jury decided not to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the chokehold death of Eric Garner. Cop union confirmed the threat late Saturday and were ordering all police officers, on duty and off, to take extra precautions.

STEPHANIE KEITH FOR NEW YORK DAILY NEWSNYPD cops have been warned to take extra precautions after the department learned a militant group is planning to shoot on-duty officers.

A tattooed gang of militants declared open season on the NYPD in the wake of the Eric Garner grand jury decision, according to a threat a police union verified Saturday.

Ten Black Guerrilla Family members are “preparing to shoot on duty police officers,” Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins said.

The gang, formed in the 1960s in the California prison system, recently surfaced on the East Coast and Maryland, where members are at the heart of a drug-trafficking and corruption probe within the Baltimore prison system.

Members swear allegiance for life and sport “BGF” tattoos, as well as ink depicting a dragon surrounding a prison tower, according to gangs.org.

#TCOT #PJNET Police officers need military equipment to do their jobs safely

Welcome to The Michael Savage Newsletter, your daily insider report on all things "Savage."

In today's issue: President Obama has announced the creation of a task force to look into what happened in Ferguson and come up with ways to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

Obama's speech reminded Savage of a similar one the president gave in 2009, in which he called for the creation of a "civilian national task force" - a concept that sounded totalitarian to many of Obama's critics.

"If only Obama would look in a mirror," said Savage. 

He's calling for an investigation into Ferguson and similar incidents, but he should ask himself how he could create "trust" and "transparency" when it comes to his own behavior in the White House.

Of course, he never asks himself such questions.

Instead, Obama talks about working with street agitators to come up with solutions, instead of with ordinary American people.

Obama also said he was worried about how much military equipment is being handed down to the nation's police forces.

Now let's say your husband or your father is a policeman who is working in a community where the gang bangers have AK-47s and other assault weapons.

What are they supposed to do?

Go out on patrol naked?

The police need this kind of equipment in these kinds of communities.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Protesters continue to march around Chicago voicing displeasure at the failure of grand juries to indict white police officers in the death of unarmed black men.

“We need justice, we need truth. The system is flawed. We are doing this to fix the system, our country, our home,” one protester said.

Dozens of protesters gathered Friday afternoon at a downtown intersection before meandering through the area. They headed to Federal Plaza and stopped near Chicago Public Schools headquarters before holding a brief rally at the city's official Christmas Tree.

Demonstrations continue across the country in the wake of the refusal of a grand jury to indict an officer in the chokehold death of 43-year-old Eric Garner. They're also protesting the failure to indict a police officer in the August shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Friday's group of protesters started at 1:30 p.m. on Jackson and State Street. They marched for hours into the night seeking justice. Some even lied down on the sidewalk in protest.
