Hundreds of people are alive today because this would-be jihad mass murderer was a slob. We may hope that the next one will not be as fastidious as Abdulmutallab was disgusting.

In any case, note this: “British-educated Nigerian Abdulmutlallab [sic] stunned security experts by making it on board a flight wearing a bomb inside his pants in 2009.” Islamic jihadists are always stunning “security experts.” Islamic jihadists are always working on new ways to murder people, and “security experts” are always playing catch-up. Air security procedures are a massive joke in part because of this. The TSA, rather than make every passenger go through all the humiliating and ridiculous procedures that are in place now, should adopt a system like the Israeli one. But that will never happen.
