A potent stimulant popular both with jihadist groups like the Islamic State and soldiers in the Syrian army was seized in the West Bank on Friday, police from the Judea and Samaria district said.

In a statement put out on Friday, district police said that while checking a Palestinian returning from Jordan by way of the Allenby Crossing they found 1.3 kilograms of Hashish as well as thousands of pills of “Captagon”.

This article summarizes the Islamic jihad against the freedom of speech that I have spoken and written about for years — you can get a great deal of information about the OIC’s war against free speech in my 2008 book Stealth Jihad and my 2013 book Arab Winter Comes to America.

It is remarkable that the Washington Post, which usually aids and abets this campaign to smear and defame foes of jihad terror, would publish this. They did so because the author is a Muslim with (from the looks of this article) an apparent breezy confidence in an imminent massive reformation of Islam. Thus the Post editors can publish this piece without fear of appearing “Islamophobic” themselves.

Unfortunately, that reform not on the horizon, and there is no mention in this piece of an even bigger elephant in the room: the fact that those who try to silence (either with violence or by destroying their reputations) those who speak negatively about jihad terror can point to passages of the Qur’an and Sunnah to support their actions. Muhammad had people who criticized him murdered in cold blood; why shouldn’t Hamas-linked CAIR and the “Islamophobia” mongers try to ruin the careers and lives of critics of jihad? That’s comparably moderate.

Aside from those issues, however, Asra Q. Nomani is to be applauded for daring to speak out against this fascist enterprise. How many other Muslims are doing so? If the mainstream narrative were true, there would be thousands. But instead, there is just one.

Then 38, I had just written an essay for The Washington Post’s Outlook section arguing that women should be allowed to pray in the main halls of mosques, rather than in segregated spaces, as most mosques in America are arranged. An American Muslim born in India, I grew up in a tolerant but conservative family. In my hometown mosque, I had disobeyed the rules and prayed in the men’s area, about 20 feet behind the men gathered for Ramadan prayers.

Parts of the Muslim world have responded with anger at the latest editor of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which featured a cartoon of Mohammed holding a sign saying ‘Je Suis Charlie’.

Hundreds of protestors in Algeria gathered, chanting “I am not Charlie, I am Mohammed”, according to reports by Euronews.

And in Niger’s second largest city of Zinder, four people were killed and 45 wounded after protestors clashed with police. The French cultural centre took the brunt of the anger as the mob set it alight, along with attacking churches in the area.

The protests turned violent after Friday prayers, and the crowds that gathered in Turkey were spurred on by the President Erdogan who said that publishing the cartoons had nothing to do with freedom of expression but with “terrorising the freedom of others”.

Hate Speech #Laws Have No Place in #Free Society

I remain convinced that the liberal concept of “hate speech” is the most ominous threat to our First Amendment rights. Never was this challenge to liberty more obvious than in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995. Liberals in the media, always on the lookout for a way to use a tragedy to their advantage, immediately launched an attack on their conservative counterparts.

In Time Magazine, senior writer Richard Lacayo said “the inflamed rhetoric of the 90s is suddenly an unindicted co-conspirator in the blast.

Over at CBS, Bob Schieffer asked Leon Panetta whether anti-government rhetoric on talk radio was to blame for the devastating attack. “Do you think that somehow has led these people to commit this act? Do they feed on that kind of rhetoric?”

On NBC, Bryant Gumbel said that Rush Limbaugh, G. Gordon Liddy, Oliver North, and other right-wing personalities “may embolden and encourage some extremists.”

I use the Oklahoma City bombing backlash as an entry point because it’s tempting to view France’s crackdown on those who defended terrorism as a good thing. It was reported that French authorities had arrested 54 people for defending the actions of the Charlie Hebdo attackers. Prosecutors were ordered Wednesday to crack down on speech that glorified terrorism and expressed anti-Semitism. In other words, they’re looking to clean their country of so-called “hate speech.”

Former CIA operative Wayne Simmons said there are "at least 19 paramilitary Muslim training facilities in the United States" during an appearance Friday on "Your World With Neil Cavuto."

Simmons appeared on the show and responded to host Neil Cavuto's accusation that President Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron refuse to use the labels "Islamic Jihad" and "Islamic extremist."

"Until they face that, until they say that, until they get rid of these go no-go zones," Simmons said. "You go in and you put razor wire around those no-go zones, you turn off the water and then as they come out you catalogue them. And that's how you close these no-go zones.

Duke University is reversing its plan to allow a student group to use the campus' iconic Chapel bell-tower to perform a Muslim call to prayer.

The university had originally given permission to Muslim MSA to use the bell-tower weekly starting Friday at 1 p.m., according to the report. The Duke Muslim Student Association members were planning to chant the call, known as adhan or azan, from the Duke Chapel bell tower. It was scheduled to last around three minutes and be “moderately amplified,” officials said in a statement Tuesday.

On Thursday, the university reportedly changed its mind and is now asking the student group to setup adjacent to the chapel.

“Duke remains committed to fostering an inclusive, tolerant and welcoming campus for all of its students,” said Duke University vice president for public affairs and government relations. “However, it was clear that what was conceived as an effort to unify was not having the intended effect.”

The school's initial approval had drawn some criticism, including from Franklin Graham:

"I call on the donors and alumni to withhold their support from Duke until this policy is reversed," Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday. "As Christianity is being excluded from the public square and followers of Islam are raping, butchering, and beheading Christians, Jews, and anyone who doesn't submit to their Sharia Islamic law, Duke is promoting this in the name of religious pluralism."

You know the old joke: “In politics, a ‘gaffe’ is when you accidentally tell the truth.”

Rupert Murdoch is a media mogul, not a politician, but he owns Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, so he is plenty familiar with politics—and he is no stranger to battles withThe New York Times. And yet unlike most politicians, Murdoch has always had a reputation for candor.  And Twitter, of course, makes candor even easier; we are all just a tweet away from letting loose what we really think.

Last week, Murdoch let loose. He tweeted in reaction to the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, and he got the left-wing thought police mad at him. Why did children’s author J.K. Rowling compare Murdoch to both the Spanish Inquisition and the disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker? And why did the Australian comedian Adam Hills (whom we had never heard of, but he’s evidently savvy enough to get quoted in the media) deride Murdoch as a“growing pus sore”?

So what, exactly, did Murdoch say? In a pair of tweets, he called ‘em as he saw ‘em. In the first, he said,

One of President Obama’s close friends and regular golf buddies is caught up in a steamy legal case that dates back to the pocket-padding Blagojevich days, as prosecutors accuse him of being a hostile witness.

Prosecutors are trying to speak with Eric Whitaker in connection with a Chicago fraud case involving millions of taxpayer dollars from the former Blagojevich administration to a businessman who allegedly spent it on vacation homes, luxury cars and more.

But court documents claim Whitaker, a 49-year-old physician and former hospital administrator who frequently is photographed with Obama hitting the links, has stopped cooperating with the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.

Federal prosecutors now want to treat him as “a witness clearly hostile to the government” the next time they question him, according to documents filed by the prosecutor’s office at the U.S. District Court in Springfield, Ill.

Every President, every politician, and every human being tells lies and engages in acts of hypocrisy. But Barack Obama does these things to a far greater degree than anyone else that I have ever known of. His campaign promises were so much better sounding than anyone else’s – no lobbyists in his administration, waiting five days before signing all non-emergency bills so people would have time to read them, putting health care negotiations on C-SPAN, reading every bill line by line to make sure money isn’t being wasted, prosecution of Wall St. criminals, ending raids against medical marijuana in states where it’s legal, high levels of transparency. Obama’s promises of these wonderful things sounded inspiring and sincere. They sounded so much better than the promises of any other President. So when Obama broke these promises, it felt so much worse than when other Presidents broke their promises.
Some of the things on this list are major events that should scare the daylights out of any true liberal who cares about civil liberties.

Other things on this list are medium things that some Obama supporters may dislike, but would be willing to overlook in light of the things that Obama has done which they like.

And some of the things on this list may seem trivial, but I still think they are an interesting reflection of the kinds of policies that Obama supports.
