Dog, cats rescued from Villa Park fire - as Muslims burn in Hell - Mazeltov!

(VILLA PARK) Firefighters rescued a dog and multiple cats from a garage fire in west suburban Villa Park Monday night.

The fire was reported at 10:03 p.m. in the garage of a home at Park Boulevard and Monterey Avenue, according to Villa Park Fire Department Lt. Ken Charapata.

The fire was extinguished soon after crews arrived, Charapata said.

Nobody was inside at the time of the fire, and crews safely rescued one dog and two or three cats, he said.

No injuries were reported in the fire, and the cause remains under investigation Tuesday morning, Charapata said.

Federal drug investigators say Edgar Manuel Valencia Ortega is known in cartel circles as "The Fox." But on Wednesday, it is Valencia himself claiming that the government tried to outfox him by interrogating him for two days without allowing his attorney to be present. Even though Valencia is a Mexican citizen, he was arrested in the U.S. and is covered by the U.S. Constitution.

Shortly after Mr. Valencia landed here in Las Vegas on a flight from Mexico, he was taken into custody by federal drug agents. Even though Sinaloa Cartel drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman wasn't yet in custody at the time, federal prosecutors had apparently planned to add Valencia to the El Chapo case in Chicago.

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man shot in West Pullman Sunday night was at least the 37th person shot in a violent three-day stretch in Chicago.

Four people were killed on the first weekend of the year to feature a stretch of warm weather, and the violence began as the school day ended on the warm Friday afternoon when a teenage girl, Gakira Barnes, was fatally shot in Woodlawn.

The most recent shooting occurred around 10:15 p.m. Sunday evening. A 24-year-old man was walking in the 12200 block of South Emerald Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.
