How to Build a #Blogging Team !

By

social media how toAre you struggling to publish regularly to your blog?
Have you thought about bringing in other writers?
With a team of bloggers, you can share the workload and keep your blog updated with fresh content.
In this article you’ll discover how to set up and support a blogging team for your business.
build a blogging team
Discover how to build a blogging team.

Why a Team?

Posting regularly to your blog is not only a way to carry out your content strategy, but it’s also the key to driving relevant traffic and awareness for your business. So if you’re struggling to update your blog consistently, consider bringing in some help.
Creating a team of bloggers can facilitate regular blog contributions. By sharing responsibility, you can provide fresh content on a regular basis and ensure that no single person bears the burden for the blog’s success.

But setting up a successful team is about more than just selecting a few people and assigning topics. And, no matter how many people you put on your team, keeping them inspired to create engaging content will require time and attention.
Here’s how to set up a team that’s passionate and engaged, and most importantly, that follows through.

#1: Assemble the Team

The most important element of creating a blogging team is to choose people who really want to write and have a passion for blogging or the industry. You’re asking people for an extra commitment, so you need team members who are excited to participate.
Consider asking potential members to fill out a short application for entry to the team. And then launch the team with a formal announcement and an in-person kickoff meeting. Nothing creates a sense of enthusiasm and purpose quite like some team bonding time.

This meeting can serve a few different purposes (some discussed below), but the main point is to get everyone on the same page with their roles and responsibilities, and to feel confident in their ability to contribute regularly.
It’s also a great way to foster team camaraderie, which again is essential when you’re requesting work above and beyond a colleague’s regular job duties.
Every team member should also agree on what his or her specific role is, and then document itsign it and make copies. There’s something about signing an official document that reinforces the importance of a commitment.

#2: Manage Workflow and Facilitate Communication

The team is a team because each member is important. This mentality helps create a sense of accountability and responsibility among team members. It also allows people to volunteer for specific blog posts, pick up the slack when necessary and ensure that there’s a reason (other than just the company’s prerogative) to show up regularly to team meetings and write new blog posts.
A great way to manage workflow is to use a tool like the Edit Flow WordPress plugin. It provides a monthly calendar, allows the team to collaborate on blog posts and sends out notifications so everyone stays on track with their assignments.

Other apps like Slack and Facebook groups also allow teams to communicate and share documents without needing to be in the same physical location

How To Build A Successful Business #Blog (a Getting Started Guide) @Social

How To Build A Successful Business Blog (a Getting Started Guide)
Whether you’re a local business owner, entrepreneur, or brand – finding new ways to generate business can be a challenge.
Especially in the highly competitive online world where content is King and differentiation is the fine line between success and failure.
That’s where blogging comes in.
Building a successful business blog can give your business the edge it needs. Not only is it a cost-effective way to enhance your inbound marketing efforts, but it also becomes a magnet – attracting prospective clients in an organic and natural way.
Whether you’re looking to start a blog from scratch or reinvent your current blog, this post will walk you through the setup of a successful (and profitable) business blog.
How do I know these steps will set you up for success? Because they’re the exact steps I took to set up my award winning blog!
Ready to get started? Read my ultimate getting started guide to building your business blog. And don’t forget to leave a comment with a link to your blog.
I’d love to hear (and see) how blogging is supporting your business!

Is A Business Blog Really Important?

A business blog is an essential element of your marketing strategy. And I tell you that from years of experience.
I started my first blog (the very one you’re on right now) in 2004. At the time, I was in the real estate and mortgage industry and looking to make connections on a local level.
But I quickly figured out the national implications as well. I began building relationships within my industry, creating connections I would have never been able to make otherwise.
Many of those relationships blossomed into true friendships that I still hold dear today. Many others turned into business opportunities.
Whether it’s speaking at a national event or traveling as a brand ambassador, blogging has opened (and continues to open) doors for me I never thought possible.
One of my most recent achievements is being named a 2015 Top 10 Social Media Bloggers by Social Media Examiner.
This was a monumental moment in my blogging career and an honor that made every long, sleepless and stressful night worthwhile.
So think about it.

Written by  - 94 Comments

So you have hit the publish key on your latest blog post.
50 Ways to Promote and Market your Blog Posts
The angels are singing, the sun is shining and a torrent of traffic is about to turn up. It is the best article you have ever written and it deserves some attention.
It’s your baby.
You spent time agonizing over the headline, the introduction is a sizzler and the structure is written for web skimming readers.
Nothing happens. The visitors don’t show.
The reality is very different to the imagination that started with a dream of thousands of fanatical readers, advocates and viewers turning up to your web front door. The adage of “build it and they will come” does not work on a web where you are competing with hundreds of millions of websites and over 2 billion internet users who still don’t know you exist.
Dream shattered?
No, it’s just time to roll up the sleeves and build traffic one marketing tactic at a time. It will involve some social media marketing, old fashioned blogger networking and also understanding the nuances of Google.
You don’t need to do all of them but just start. Pick three to five marketing methods from this article that catch your attention and work on those.
Here are 50 ways of promoting your articles on your blog.

50 tips to market your blog

Let’s kick this off with some social media marketing tactics.

1. Facebook

On your profile and Facebook page, post as many inspiring statuses that will engage your friends, fans and followers with a link to your published article.

2. Twitter

Post to Twitter straight after publishing your post. The more followers you have on Twitter the better this will work.

3. Google+

Add as many relevant users to your friend’s list so that they can add you back, increasing the chances of receiving more “+1’s” and “shares” from them.

What the Best Bloggers Do Right

What the Best Bloggers Do Right
Last time I checked3.75 million blog posts were written today.
Now how many of those were readtoday? Your guess is as good as mine. A very teeny tiny minority, if you choose to rely on the most basic 80–20 Pareto’s Principle. But have you noticed the number of views, shares, and comments when the post is written by people like Seth Godin? Or Neil Patel? Or Arianna Huffington?
So what are the qualities or distinct characteristics that mark these super bloggers, setting them on a plane higher than us lesser mortals? I am inclined to think that entry to this rarefied region is free, as long as you get these three steps just right. Read on.

Write Often

In a Curata study of over 400 business bloggers, they found that the best bloggers—one’s with over 10,000 page views or more per month—shared some similar traits. Being regular and keeping that blog fresh is one thing that nearly every successful blogger did. According to Curata’s numbers, over 90% of the top bloggers publish at least one or more posts every week5 (highlight to tweet).

How to Broadcast Video Via Mobile

By

social media how toDoes the idea of broadcasting live video from your mobile device sound interesting?
Are you wondering if you should consider Meerkat or Periscope?
In this article you’ll discover the differences between Meerkat and Periscope so you can choose the best one for your live mobile broadcasts.

Discover how to broadcast video with Meerkat and Periscope.

Preview Meerkat and Periscope on Desktop

If you’re not ready to commit to either app just yet, or don’t have an iOS device, you can dive in by previewing some Meerkat and Periscope live streams on your desktop.
Click on this link to see what videos are streaming live from Meerkat users. Unfortunately, even if a video is live, you’ll first have to log in via Twitter, and then you’ll only see a static shot of the screen.
For Periscope, click on this link to see what videos are streaming live from Periscope users. Unlike live Meerkat videos, Periscope videos start automatically without asking you to log into Twitter. And you get the live feed.
If you click on a Meerkat or Periscope stream that has ended, you get a screen encouraging you to download the app and follow the user in question.

Look Inside the Meerkat App

When you download the Meerkat mobile app (currently available for iOS users only), you get a better viewing experience than on a desktop.
First, you’re prompted to log in using your Twitter account.

Allow Meerkat to access your camera for live streaming purposes. Next, give the app permission to access your location while you’re using it. Finally, allow Meerkat to send you notifications on your phone.
You can decline all of these options if you just want to browse and not live stream, or you can allow camera access without location access or notifications.
