A guide to the Independence Day events in Israel
67 heritage sites and museum will be open to the public tomorrow, on Israel's 67th Independence Day, free of charge.

Israel is celebrating 67 years since its establishment, and a hundreds of thousands of citizens are expected to visit the sites and activities held across the country.
The Culture and Sport Ministry announced that 67 heritage sites will be open to the public tomorrow, free of charge. Among the sites are the Atlit detainee camp, Tel Hai, the Kineret Farm, the Tower and Stockade Museum in Hanita, the Museum of Underground Prisoners in Acre and the Hannah Szenes Museum in Sdot Yam. In addition, the Irgun, Lehi and Haganah museums in Tel Aviv, the Ammunition Hill site and the Yad La-Shiryon Museum are also due to be open tomorrow.
Special activities marking Israel's 67th Independence Day, like tours, multimedia displays, shows, exhibitions and family activities focusing on the heritage stories of the state will be taking place on all the sites. The Culture and Sport Ministry recommends pre-registering to all the events on:www.shimur.org.il.
The Jewish National Fund is preparing for the large number of citizens expected to visit nature reserves across the country. The Fund stresses the importance of keeping the environment clear and of following safety regulations when lighting fire outdoors.
The IDF is also opening its doors to the public, and as everyIndependence Day it invites visitors to chosen bases of the IAF, Navy, army and district commands.
