#Chicago Polar Vortex - Play it again Sam!

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Snow up to your shins. It's what Chicagoans should prepare for.

Up to 3 inches of snow is expected to fall by Sunday afternoon and another 6 inches could fall Monday night.

And this week will be cold. Bitterly cold.

“We're in for a pretty good dose of winter weather here,” National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Bardou told the Chicago Sun-Times.

It will feel like a throwback to last year's polar vortex as temperatures across the Chicago area steadily creep to below zero by midweek, Bardou said.

Winds up to 35 mph will accompany the mercury drop, creating wind chills of minus 30 or lower, Bardou said.
