It was obviously of no importance whatsoever to Barack Obama that these jihad terrorists would return to jihad in Afghanistan and try to kill American troops there. Eli Lake says that the prospect of their killing Bergdahl presented Obama with a “painful dilemma.” It will get more painful once these jihadis murder a few more Americans.

The latest dramatic turn following the Taliban's release of U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl to U.S. authorities last month is the revelation that he is now reportedly refusing to speak with his parents.

Bergdahl's refusal to make contact with his parents, revealed in a report from theWall Street Journal, citing a U.S. official familiar his recovery, has increased the already intense and polarizing focus on his release, which was secured in a deal that freed five Taliban prisoners from U.S. custody at a Guantánamo Bay, Cuba facility.

Platoon medic: Bergdahl 'not a hero'

A member of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon in Afghanistan said Sunday the former Taliban prisoner deserted his post before being captured and fired back against Obama administration arguments that only Bergdahl knows exactly what happened.

“After Bowe Bergdahl purposely and willfully walked away, every single mission was titled toward finding him,” platoon medic Joshua Cornelison told “Fox News Sunday.” “We were there. This isn’t some second- or third-hand account.”

Cornelison’s comments come several days after a State Department spokeswoman told Fox News that Bergdahl is “probably the person who knows best what happened on that night” and dismissed published accounts from platoon mates about the events surrounding Bergdahl’s June 5, 2009, disappearance and capture.

“The American people need to be educated that Bowe Bergdahl is not a hero.”

No surprise here. Barack Obama has reinforced an important lesson for the Taliban: kidnap an American, and you have a good chance of winning important concessions from his weak and feckless administration. This will only ensure that there will be more kidnappings.

These people need help, yet what they get is the most conceited country in the world telling them that they are nothing and that they are stupid.” He declared: “I am ashamed to be an American. The father began by saying his son was having trouble speaking English after five years away from home.

He then uttered the Arabic phrase that begins every chapter of the Quran, except one, “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim.” It means, “In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate.”

This is a surprise to no one — probably not even Barack Obama, since he himself has admitted that the jihadis he freed are “absolutely” a threat to the United States. That does call his motivations in making the Bergdahl deal into question, but not to worry: no one in the mainstream media will dare to challenge him on this.

Days after the disappearance of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, U.S. soldiers intercepted radio communications revealing that an American soldier in a nearby village was looking for someone to help him communicate in English with unknown agents, according to the 28-year-old Idahoan's former team leader.

"I heard it straight from the interpreter's lips as he heard it over the radio," former Army Sgt. Evan Buetow, who served in Bergdahl's unit, said Tuesday in a CNN interview. "There's a lot more to this story than a soldier walking away."

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl at one point during his captivity converted to Islam, fraternized openly with his captors and declared himself a "mujahid," or warrior for Islam, according to secret documents prepared on the basis of a purported eyewitness account and obtained by Fox News.

The reports indicate that Bergdahl's relations with his Haqqani captors morphed over time, from periods of hostility, where he was treated very much like a hostage, to periods where, as one source told Fox News, "he became much more of an accepted fellow" than is popularly understood. He even reportedly was allowed to carry a gun at times.

The documents show that Bergdahl at one point escaped his captors for five days and was kept, upon his re-capture, in a metal cage, like an animal. In addition, the reports detail discussions of prisoner swaps and other attempts at a negotiated resolution to the case that appear to have commenced as early as the fall of 2009.

You knew this was going to happen.  You just didn’t know which “low-level rogue” member of the Administration would be the first to drop heavy rhetorical ordnance on the troops who served with Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.  It turns out to be Brandon Friedman, deputy assistant secretary of public affairs at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, who is a military veteran himself.  You can bet everyone in this Administration with a military resume is being quietly felt out by Obama’s political team to see how far they might be willing to go, in order to protect His Majesty’s rapidly disintegrating political narrative.

An Obama administration official floated the idea Wednesday that Bowe Bergdahl was justified in deserting his platoon in Afghanistan and joining the Taliban over disagreements with the platoon’s “psychopath” leadership.

Brandon Friedman, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the Department of Housing and Urban Development posted a series of tweets Wednesday evening.

Friedman  speculated that Bergdahl deserted over bad leadership of his platoon and that is why his fellow soldiers were smearing him.
