Telling It Like It Is: Vatican Shameful - not Exacty...

Thursday, 06 Nov 2014 03:04 PM

"MidPoint" host Ed Berliner said on Newsmax TV Thursday that it's shameful for the Vatican to criticize the decision of Brittany Maynard, who was suffering from terminal cancer, to take her life, which he says was an act of courage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Ed, but most of us don't buy that crap.

1.) Her Suicide was THE ULTIMATE  ACT OF COWARDICE!

Calling the final cop-out courageous insults the tens of thousands who have bravely and with Faith in God suffered years of cancer, heart disease, and other deadly diseases.

The Writer had a mother, grandfather and 2 Aunts in this number - they suffered with grace.

2.) I don't know what your knowledge of of Catholic teaching is but the Vatican was being kind and diplomatic while remaining Faithful.  But for those of us schooled in Tradiaional Catholicism:

BRITTANY MAYNARD is BURNING IN HELL!

Sorry folks, but SUICIDE is the ONE SIN that GOD WILL NOT FORGIVE -

and since you never get a chance to repent, it' academic anyway.

Vatican : You’re fishing in the aquarium if not using social media

Vatican social media message
As reported by David Gibson (@gibsonwrites), the Vatican’s chief media strategist, Archbishop Claudio Celli, says the Catholic Church cannot ignore the opportunities presented by social media.
In our church we are always fishing inside the aquarium, and we forget that most fish are outside the aquarium.
Unless the church engages social media, we will wind up talking to ourselves.
He might as well have been talking about law firms.

OUTRAGEOUS!!! UN panel on torture to put the Vatican on hot seat:

Image wikipedia.org

The United Nations Committee against Torture, which requires nations to come before the panel and defend their human rights records, will put an unlikely subject on its hot seat next week when it calls in the Vatican.
The UN panel, which includes representatives from China, the U.S. and eight other nations, will meet in Geneva and call the Vatican to account for its record on torture and inhumane punishment in a procedure to be aired live on the Internet beginning Monday. It's standard procedure for all 155 nations that signed on to the committee's convention to submit a report and come before the panel, and the Vatican is both a nation-state and a signatory. Cyprus, Lithuania, Guinea, Montenegro, Sierra Leone, Thailand and Uruguay are also scheduled to appear beginning next week.
While it is possible the panel will raise longstanding allegations of sexual abuse among clergy, the Vatican report focuses mostly on what the church has and has not done to stop other nations from carrying out human rights violations.
