Law enforcement agencies in Chicago and across the country have teamed up for a major sex trafficking sting.The operation, which ran from July 17 until August 3, lead to the arrests of 496 would-be sex buyers and 14 traffickers, according to a release from the Cook County Sheriff's officer.
Officials say the large operation targeted traffickers who forced their victims to living lives of prostitution. Charges included adult and juvenile felony sex trafficking, criminal solicitation of a minor, pimping, promotion of adult and juvenile prostitution and public indecency.
