U.S.-Qatar Alliance Aids and Abets the Islamic State
The Obama administration’s alliance with Qatar is shaking the international coalition against the Islamic State. Qatar’s links with the main al Qaeda affiliate in Syria, the Nusra Front, as well as with Hamas and the Taliban in Afghanistan, are heightening concerns in Washington and Arab capitals about the long-term intentions of the monarchy.
Further proof that Qatar must be designated a state sponsor of terrorism, and the reason why I joined the steering committee of the Qatar Awareness Campaign. We are a coalition of concerned independent journalists and publishers, for the purpose of signing onto letters addressed to companies, universities and individuals who are accepting money from Qatar.
