Donald Sterling reportedly refuses to pay NBA fine, threatens lawsuit
Banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is refusing to pay the $2.5 million fine levied by the NBA over his recent racist comments, Sports Illustrated reported.
Maxwell Blecher, an attorney for Sterling, wrote in a letter to NBA executive vice president and general counsel Rick Buchanan that Sterling has done nothing wrong and that "no punishment is warranted," according to the report.

Recording Donald Sterling’s Racist Comments: A Crime?
By rohan On May 13, 2014
A crime may have been committed when Donald Sterling implored V. Stiviano not to publicly associate with minorities—but not by the shamed Los Angeles Clippers owner. (The government can’t punish Sterling for that kind of speech, but the NBA can. (See An Actual Example of Free-Speech Infringement.))
Stiviano, a 31-year-old employed as Sterling’s “archivist” but rumored to be his mistress, apparently recorded the inflammatory conversation in September of last year. In it, Sterling utters several statements that, when stripped of social media references, appear to be from the segregation era:
“I’m just saying, in your lousy f—ing Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself . . . walking with black people. Admire him, bring him here, feed him, f— him, I don’t care. You can do anything. But don’t put him on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me.”

Donald Sterling Fallout on the way - hold onto your horses
the banishment of Donald Sterling
Welcome to The Michael Savage Newsletter, your daily insider report on all things "Savage."
In today's issue: Dr. Savage compares the Russian reaction to sanctions to the fallout from the lifetime ban issued basketball team owner Donald Sterling for racist remarks.
No matter how well intentioned, Savage points out, such punishments always bring with them unintended consequences and frequently backfire on those who order them.
"The war in Ukraine is heating up," noted Savage, adding:
- Now you have Russia threatening the astronauts and the space station over the sanctions, just as you'd expect.
Did anyone think Putin would play softball with Obama?
You've got this gang of college girls in the White House, using sanctions to try to keep Russian for encroaching on its surrounding territories.
So Russian replied, in effect: "You are passengers on our rockets to the International Space Station. Keep this up and maybe you should try to get there on your own, since you don't have rockets any more, thanks to Obama."
The Russian deputy minister said, "Sanctions are always a boomerang that come back and painfully hit those who launch them."
You know what?
The same thing could be said about Donald Sterling, the Clippers owner, and his fines and banishment.
Just wait and see what happens.

Donald Sterling controversy is Obama's 'Monica's dress' incident
Welcome to The Michael Savage Newsletter, your daily insider report on all things "Savage."
In today's issue: Dr. Savage calls the controversy over NBA team owner Donald Sterling's recorded remarks "the incident that the Obama White House has been waiting for, to sweep their failures off the front page."
"The Clippers owner Donald Sterling was illegally recorded making some horrible statements," Savage said to his audience, noting:
- What he said was offensive but not illegal.
He got a lifetime suspension and a $2.5 million fine.
I predict he's going to sue over that, and win.
Sterling didn't get where he is by being a weakling.
You know how these things work, don't you?
Because tomorrow, this is going to bite you on the behind.
When basketball players start throwing around curse words about themselves, someone will record them.
What will you do then? Say it's part of their culture?
Be careful what you wish on others, because it will happen to you.
This is the only thing people will be talking about for weeks now, instead of Obama's mishandling of the world.
This is the "Monica's dress" incident that Obama's been waiting for.
It will sweep their failures off the front page.

STERLING, MEDIA AND THE RACE CARD — A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES
AA
A secretly taped conversation between long-time L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling and his then-girlfriend was released. The NBA has now banned Sterling from the league. The commissioner recommends that Sterling sell his team.
Goodness, what happened?
The old guy had a quarrel with his girlfriend, which she apparently — surreptitiously — recorded.
Despite his obvious anger, Sterling never says the “n” word, let alone calls her a “c” word. He expresses admiration for Johnson. He says to the girlfriend, almost in disbelief, “You think I’m a racist!” The now ex-girlfriend is currently being sued by the Sterling family for allegedly embezzling almost $2 million.
A MAN OF STERLING CHARACTER
RESIZE:AAA
** NOTE: Some quoted language below may offend readers.**
I had listened to roughly eight hours of commentary on Donald Sterling and the ugly remarks he made in conversations secretly tape-recorded by his girlfriend, before I heard anyone mention a wife
HE HAS A WIFE?
At first, I thought the topic must have changed when I left the room, but no — the TV talking heads were still discussing Sterling advising his girlfriend to stay away from blacks.

Paul Weston, chairman of Liberty GB, was making the speech on the steps of Winchester Guildhall in Hampshire on Saturday after a passer-by complained.
He was detained after failing to comply with a request by police to move on under the powers of a dispersal order.
He was further arrested on suspicion of religious or racial harassment.

What connection is there to Donald Sterling and the Banning of Dr. Michael Savage from Britain?
These "Bans" are the tools of the ignorant thugs. American does not "Ban" people because of things they say. This is the purpose of the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution.
Would the Black Laker players and their supporters who have been so "offended" by Sterling's comments have him Jailed for his statements? They are trying to do everything else, including robbing him of his hard earned money and work, so why not?
Besides, many of these "athletes" already know a lot about jail, so it's a natural.
The point is - BEWARE OF WHAT YOU DO IN ANGER for it will COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU.
Will the next time the Lakers begin throwing the "N" word around being such reproach? How about the support of some for the 5 Percenters of the Nation of Islam who espouse racial views that are far more disgusting than any mild comments made by Donald Sterlinlg?
i doubt we will hear about that - Hell, OBAMA will bring them to the White House.

U.S. President Barack Obama, singer Rihanna and rapper Snoop Dogg are among the people who have passionately responded to a recently released audio recording filled with racist comments allegedly spoken by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
