A South Shore man was ordered held on $100,000 bail Sunday after prosecutors said he tossed a kitten into the air Saturday and then let it hit the ground, resulting in its death.
Lamar C. Rogers, 43, of the 7000 block of East End Avenue, is charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals in the incident, which took place at an apartment building in the West Woodlawn neighborhood, according to Cook County court records.
Police were flagged down by a witness Saturday evening, according to court records
