Unchecked immigration — the de facto policy under Obama – -poses a far greater threat to American security and preservation of culture than does ISIS, or any of its affiliates.
One of the many dangerous aspects of unchecked immigration is illegal immigration, and the American people know this. Thus Donald Trump — rejected by the GOP establishment — has been able to catapult his candidacy ahead of other GOP presidential hopefuls by seizing on two key issues: First, murders and other crimes committed by illegals, and secondly, a promise to secure the southern border.
High-profile crimes by illegals get everyone’s attention for a while, such as the murder of Kathryn Steinle allegedly by an illegal alien in the sanctuary city of San Francisco on July 1, but then the shock passes and politicians like House Minority Leader
(D-CA-12th) walk up to the microphone to tell us sanctuary cities and related policies are not the problem. Rather, private gun ownership is. Of course, Pelosi overlooks the fact that the illegal alien who allegedly shot Steinle had multiple felonies and had already been deported numerous times before shooting Steinlewith a stolen gun.
The murder of Steinle got a lot of attention. But how many crimes committed annually by illegals are never even reported, let alone get front page attention?
American Thinker pulled together numbers from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) which show “the number of criminal aliens in federal prisons in fiscal year 2010 was about 55,000.” And when you look at a completely different set of numbers — the number of incarcerated illegals in state prisons and sons and “local jails” — the number for 2009 was approximately 296,000. Many of these are not people incarcerated for petty offenses.
For example, after examining “data on criminal aliens incarcerated in federal prisons from fiscal years 2005 through 2010 and… data on criminal aliens incarcerated in state prisons and local jails from fiscal years 2003 thorough 2009,” the GAO reports that illegals committed 213,047 assaults, 115,045 burglaries, 69,929 sex offenses, 42,609 incidents of “property damage,” 25,064 homicides, and 14,788 kidnappings, among many other crimes and categories of crime.
Again: 25,064 murders by illegal immigrants, yet the mainstream media is largely silent and that keeps the template in place for lambasting individuals like Donald Trump and Ann Coulter when they point out the danger illegal immigration poses to Americans.
