CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -A Tennessee man believed to belong to the group behind dozens of high-profile computer attacks is facing federal hacking charges and will be prosecuted in Chicago.
Timothy Justin French, 20 of Morristown, Tenn., was charged with conspiracy to commit computer fraud and abuse, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s office in Chicago.
French and other members of “NullCrew” attacked corporations, educational institutions and government agencies, then released data and information, including usernames and passwords, a federal criminal complaint said.
