MONTGOMERY, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -Six people were shot at an Easter party on Sunday after a gunman opened fire in west suburban Montgomery.
The shooting happened about 12:40 a.m. at a home in the 1300 block of Jackson Street, according to a statement from the Montgomery Police Department. According to police, a man got out of a gold SUV -- with gold and black rims -- and began shooting into a garage where the party was taking place.
Four men and two women, all said to be in their 20's, were shot, police said. Five were taken to Mercy Center Hospital while another person was driven to Rush Copley by a friend, police said. While children were at the party, none were hit.
